Anyone else seeing GPT-4o be significantly less intelligent than GPT-4-turbo?

Excited to announce fullcontext.ai. Talking to an AI instead of a human when evaluating software is a win-win for both sides: buyers don’t have the close pressure and scheduling friction and GTM teams can automate more of the buying process and generate more pipeline.

They say there is nothing left to do but pursue a legal option and they cannot fix the issue despite it still being under warranty. The legal team @Tesla has been basically ghosting us and there is no way to get ahold of anyone. What would you do?

Need some advice: we have a 2020 @Tesla Model X that for the past year has made a loud metal on metal noise while driving. We've brought it into the service center 7 times and they acknowledge the issue but cannot figure out what is causing it.

The existential angst is real, but there is still a golden window for a software development while LLMs still have a limited context window and devs can take advantage of them without being replaced. Not sure what that will be like 2-10 years from now.

Interesting to see how the tables have turned for software devs: 2018: High salary (incl. junior devs) 2019: Indefinite remote work, flexible hours, etc. 2020: Incredibly hard to hire 2021: Even higher salary 2022: Laid Off 2023: Existentially jeopardized as a profession

Are there any good OSS projects which allow live-editing of arbitrary html on a page? E.g. click on an element and change its text/color/etc.

It's amazing how hard it is to extract images from Google Docs. Surely there has to be a better way than exporting to Google Keep first.

@zeeg Agree. I think the "scaling" some people refer to is more associated with feature velocity than req/s, but microservices aren't the answer there either. They just create perverse incentives to avoid the real issue and focus on greenfield tech.

Everyone’s all “monoliths don’t scale” but then when you look at what they build they’re talking single digit req/s. Monoliths scale just fine y’all need critical thinking instead of Hype Driven Development. Honestly don’t know how microservices are even still a topic.

Every app is going to be including the low-hanging fruits of generative AI in similar ways: summarization, expansion, knowledge retrieval... in its most generic form, it feels like this belongs at the os/browser level.

Over a few days, we added some AI-driven space customization functionality into @SpotVirtualHQ. Expect more!

Interesting to see the types of discussions in the #OpenAI discord. Nothing like crypto at all.
