The comet passes perihelion at a distance of 1.36 AU from the Sun - and 50 days before the minimum approach to the Earth. I remind you that from the Earth to the Sun is about 1 AU. That is, the comet cannot collide with the Earth in any way - because the perihelion is the minimum distance from the Sun, and the comet even at perihelion is obviously further than the Earth. Even though the inclination of the comet orbit to the ecliptic plane (175.1 degrees) is close to the Earth's orbit (its inclination is zero, or 180 degrees, if the Earth were flying in the opposite direction). Close to 180 means that the comet flies in the opposite direction relative to the planets of the solar system - when viewed from the North Pole of the ecliptic (located in the constellation of the Dragon), the planets revolve around the Sun counterclockwise - while the comet flies in reverse, clockwise. The greatest approach to the Earth will occur on December 19, 2025, the distance from us to the comet will be 1.80 AU, or 269 million km. Breathe deeper
