PA announcing is one of the things that pulled me into loving the NBA. I thought @MarkMasonPDX did an outstanding job giving @KDTrey5 is flowers last night as he moved up to 7th on the all-time scorers list. Yes, Rockets were the visitors, but we give all-timers those moments! 🫡

It’s actually pretty easy tbh.
Neither is a playmaker, so you’re not gaining or losing there.
Grant has 5+ years as a plus-volume above avg 3pt shooter while Sharpe has failed to connect yet.
Defensively - it’s not particularly close. Grant wins out by a mile.
So unless Sharpe is able to bring something more on the playmaking end that is REALLY impactful, it’s pretty easy to see Billups going with Grant and bringing Sharpe off the bench.

@CHold @trailblazers Hi Casey - I remember last offseason with the broadcast changes they said there was a hope to get something done with YTTV prior to the next season. As we approach that, is there any news or updates there? Thanks!

Under the old TV deal ABC games were exclusive, TNT games were exclusive unless you had a certain number of them, then you could do a local broadcast. ESPN typically wasn't exclusive. So this, along with the 8pm starts, is a rather large change. Can't remember the last time we had 6 national TV exclusive games.

I don't believe Portland wanted to take back any money in a DA trade that went beyond this year - so that would cut down the market to only other expiring deals.
That's a tough needle to thread.

Ayton has to clear waivers in 48 hours. Portland had a glut of centers after the draft and it’s very hard to trade a player making as much as he does. Expect teams that need a center to be very active with him.

On the surface I have a lot of questions - that’s for sure. Won’t know until we get the buyout number - and/or if there’s a trade in the works with an unbalanced trade and salary offset.
