you can tell the tvl writers value individual setpieces over character continuity bc they treat the context around their scene ideas as completely interchangeable, when changing the context can turn the original idea incoherent or carry implications they aren't ready to explore

@volveralmar In my interpretation he does that because he sees himself in her. He also "wanted to be told what to do," that's what led him to the priesthood. So when she says this he finally accepts that he's in love with her, and wants her physically.
