@gusbova Ah, a courtroom employee helping our justice system ensure everyone receives equal treatment under the law has been detained for not having the correct piece of paper. Guess she was dangerous to ICE. Meanwhile, criminals in our government flourish.

@gusbova This woman, Meenu Batra, has a final order of removal. Hiding from law enforcement for years does not grant legal status.

@DavidAFrench We have the exact same policy in our church. We're a small rural Texas Baptist church with a 99.99% membership aged 65 and up. We were giddy with delight when one of the youngest members finally gave birth to her first child. That baby cries in the sermon and everybody smiles.

@Xray1101 I don't have a particular genre. I've self published 3 collections of Christian short stories, but I've also written children's stories, science fiction, fantasy, romance, and if I can get them finished, I will publish them. I just tell the stories as they come to me.

@ArienSkyeWrites I haven't had many written reviews to read. But almost everyone who knows me and read my three has told me how great they were and demanded to know when the next was coming. I'll listen to those reviews quite happily.

When my sister and I got COVID, the doctors were calling hospitals hundreds of miles away trying to find her a bed to keep her alive. They told me since I was still concious, to go home and endure.

@drterrysimpson nice revisionism. "flatten the curve" was out the window within a couple months, and health system capacity was never seriously threatened. yet these measures persisted for years and that's the problem.

No serious epidemiologist believed lockdowns would make a respiratory virus “disappear.” The goal was never eradication. The goal was time. Time to: • Expand ICU capacity • Scale oxygen and ventilators • Develop treatments • Deploy vaccines • Prevent health-system collapse Early spread does not mean “do nothing.” It means shift from containment to mitigation. And yes — natural immunity was always part of the equation. That’s how infectious disease works. The question wasn’t whether immunity would develop. The question was how many would die getting there and whether hospitals would survive the surge. Viruses don’t care about ideology. They care about contact rates. Interventions change contact rates. That changes peak burden. That saves lives at the margin — which, at population scale, becomes very large numbers. Public health isn’t about perfection. It’s about reducing damage in a non-zero-sum biological event. It was about flattening a curve, buying time, ventilators, and hopeing for the vaccine

@ClintRegert @JennMGreenberg The point is to stop blaming others for your lack of control of yourself. Any man who says women are causing him to lust is avoiding his lack of control of himself. Jesus didn't say to blame others, He said to control yourself. Take responsibility for your reactions.

This is the root problem with legalists. They project their own sin problems onto other people. In doing so, they tell you exactly who they are. In this case, Dale is telling us that he's insecure and has lust issues.

@Vk_Rotich Actually, the earth has ALWAYS been like this. Read some history of the world, please. But especially read a regular version of the Bible, where Jesus said even He has no idea when the end time will come. He also had words about those who went about declaring the end.

@DipshikhaGhosh Anybody who thinks robotic pregnancies are a great way to get rid of women admits they can't deal with women. And if you can't deal with a grown woman, the thought of you dealing with an infant is a horror tale all on its own. Infant mortality will soar.

And what will men do once these babies are born? Give up their jobs to take care of them? Feed them every 2 hours? Clean them? Take them for vaccinations? The joke writes itself.

@RossKneeDeep In the fifth grade many decades ago, our devout Christian teacher taught stuff from the Bible, but it was mostly from Psalms, taught as classic literature. She also taught from Shakespeare and other authors. But never from other religions.

@TheJFreakinC Just curious: How many illegal cartel members have been killed while being arrested compared to American citizens holding down necessary jobs? How many actual gang members have been arrested and deported versus illegals holding down jobs and paying taxes?

🚨BREAKING: ICE agents are now threatening to violently assault U.S. citizens for the crime of sitting in their own car, in a parking lot… Yes. Literally that. ICE agents are now claiming U.S. citizens are not allowed to be in the same parking lot as them. In the video, you can hear an agent approach a person sitting quietly in their car and announce that he is ICE, and that other ICE agents are also in the parking lot… Then the agent immediately issues what he calls his “one and only warning.” The person responds, “I was just on the phone.” The agent responds, “No. No you’re not.” The agent then escalates to a direct threat of violence, saying… “This is your one and only warning. I catch you here again, I’m yanking you out of that fucking car because you’re taking pictures on your little GoPro.” So, to be clear… a U.S. citizen is being threatened with assault not for impeding, not for interfering, not for committing any crime… …but for having a dash cam. The agent then adds, “If anything happens to our vehicles, or anybody in here, I’m coming straight for you.” Then more threats… “I will yank you out of that fucking car, and I will fucking put charges on you.” Charges for what? He never says. Because there are none. And then he admits the quiet part out loud… “I’ll put you in the fucking domestic terrorists app.” A federal agent threatening to label a U.S. citizen a “domestic terrorist” for sitting in a car while having a dash cam. And then the agent illegally orders the U.S. citizen to “get the fuck out” of the parking lot and tells him he is not allowed to return. To break that all down… an ICE agent used intimidation, retaliation, and threats of violence against a U.S. citizen for exercising their First Amendment rights, and existing in a public space. And then banned the U.S. citizen from returning to the public space. So, just to be absolutely clear… The Trump administration is conditioning the public to obey masked federal agents, without questions and without rights.

@AuthorGFAllen There is a reason I have a personal library of about 10K books. Luckily for my living space and budget, I received a Kindle 15 years ago and keep at least half of them on it.
