A strong Congress party scares not just the BJP, but also the media and even some alliance partners. They are comfortable when Congress is weak. That’s when they start giving us sermons on being “accommodating” in seat sharing and keep repeating that we are “finished.” The truth is simple, they prefer a weak Congress because a strong Congress changes the entire political equation.

बात तो सही है राहुल गांधी की अगर ममता जी ने साफ सुथरी सरकार चलाई होती, बंगाल को पोलराइज नहीं किया होता तो BJP के लिए रास्ता नहीं खुलता। ठीक वैसे जैसे- अगर कांग्रेस ने साफ सुथरी सरकार चलाई होती, पोलराइज नहीं किया होता तो 2 सीटर BJP आज केंद्र सरकार न चलाती।

TVK President Thiru Vijay has requested the Indian National Congress for support to form a Government in Tamil Nadu. He has spoken about drawing inspiration from Perumthalaivar Kamaraj as well, in his political mission. The INC is clear that the mandate in Tamil Nadu is for a secular government that is committed to protecting the Constitution in letter and spirit. The INC is determined not to have the BJP and its proxies run the Govt. of Tamil Nadu in any manner. Accordingly, the Congress leadership has directed the TNCC to take a final decision on Thiru Vijay's request, keeping in view the sentiments of the state reflected in the electoral verdict.

Calling it “cheating” doesn’t hold up , this is strategy, not betrayal. If M. K. Stalin couldn’t secure numbers or build the right alliance at the right time, others will step in that’s how politics works. With Rahul Gandhi and Congress backing a broader front, the objective is clear: stop the AIADMK–Bharatiya Janata Party gaining a foothold in Tamil Nadu. And importantly Congress is not causing any loss to DMK. It’s acting to prevent a bigger political shift that could harm the state’s balance. Preventing that isn’t betrayal , it’s responsibility.
