mostly true with a few uncharitable points, might write a long post, but essentially numetal did emphasize unique vocal styles and most of them were heavily chorus and hook-driven bands. the later developments in metal did take from that, a lot of the core bands who grew up on it, but a lot of the return to traditional forms of metal in the mid 2000s and early 2010s kind of missed the mark about, like clone is saying, play-ability. you needed to be an elite and a nerd to enjoy it (dont get me wrong i like both), a lot of techdeath, djent, mathcore, etc. lacked that specialness that early 2000s metal genres had, which included numetal. a lot of guys went back to listening to converge, cynic, death, etc. idk how things are now because i sort of stopped keeping up with newer releases after the 2010s. that and the "scene" and online "metal journalism" (blogging) put a bad taste in my mouth.

Numetal died for two reasons: one was the larger shift away from rock music to straight hiphop in mainstream media and two, the weight of its own classless cringe. Just look at the Korn people...that was never going to last. Listen to POD's "Southtown"...you just cannot have suburban background white people doing this bizarre, arrested development cultural pastiche act with extremely goofy fashion sense and expect it to pass the test of time. What happened was the rock side of it bifurcated into Butt rock amenable to casual soccer mom listeners, and the metal side of it shed the "nu" due to wigger shame, because the autists calling them poseurs won the intrametal culture war. Even Metallica was embarrassed and went back to making thrash albums with guitar solos. The thing is though, the retarded wiggerishness of numetal, the simplicity of chuggah chuggah breakdowns, and the emphasis on vocal stylings sorely lacking in trad metal that view it more of a secondary afterthought as just another instrument, were exactly what made numetal that popular. Metal autists left to their own devices tend to jack themselves off with too much clichéd abstraction. Being a fan of that is as much of a special interest as playing it, or else it all sounds the same and sort of bores you. Having metal with enough pop sensability that normgroids can get hype on it takes the attention of top notch producers, which by then had left for greener pastures. You'd also notice that around this time the wiggers brought in through numetal started flooding the underground too. Wiggercore became a huge problem as numetal's star faded. Abominations like Emmure were popping up everywhere, dragging the simplicity and douchebag aura of Durstmaxxers into a worst of both worlds combination of hahdkaw autismo and normgroid obnoxious idiocy. Western culture needed a break from all that nonsense which I think was well deserved on both sides. It's now time to rvtrn but the question is, does anyone have it in 'em anymore? Do the kids even know how to rock, or is this all lost lore from the back annals of Milleniboomer YouTube now? Geriatric Limp Bizkit nostalgia tours sounds pretty hilarious and maybe they'll get an Insane Clown Posse post ironic revival, like people first hated then came to love the Juggalos as adored trailer park chungus mascots. But I hope that's not the best we can do. The uncs can't carry it all. This is supposed to be a young man's baby game. Come on now alpha Z's. Do the thing. Everything is going down the shitter and you don't really have anything to lose. Life is subjectively and objectively worse for you on every imaginable metric. This should create plenty enough angst for you to work with. You can't just sperg about politics and expect that to do anything. That's not the strength of youth. Trying to be the next based Rush Limbaugh cocksucking yapper pundit. The strength of youth is the strength of youth. No art, no deal. Without it you're dead in the water. America has a love/hate relationship with it's own wiggerishness as much as it does with its own n_1_,33_,e,.r,1,shness. Jewish cultural psyops have a funny way of being self adopted by their targets as counter-subversive sources of strength. Christianity being the all time best example. But the shameful truth that wignats don't like to admit, is that whitey left to his own lone devices suffers from and over-earnest autistic hokeyness which can be off putting even to him. What made latter 20th century and afterglow pop culture production so beloved and dare I say emergently lindy, is *just* the right amount of both wiggerishness and smol hat spice to really get cooking with fire. Without these elements, it would have mostly languished as a future academic curioso. But the Clear Channel classic rock playlist has barely changed for going on the better half of half a century, and it probably won't for another one either. That shit was phat and still is, any way you spell it. Wiggers can be your best friend or worst enemy, just ask them. Despite being my OG nemesis, I've learned to stop worrying and love da bomb. What goes around comes around. As the newly self anointed chairman of their long reigning vanguard, I welcome the reclaimed vigor a wiggerish rebirth shall usher across these barren lands. It's a wigger's world, we're just living in it. The sooner you recahnize, the better you can start functioning as proper soldier in the great war, which is a spiritual war. The lost spirit of The West is its golden prize. Right now, its soul is trapped in purgatory, and only unabashed wigger chutzpah can set it free once again.

What actually killed NuMetal was all the bands breaking up including Limp Bizkit . People forget that Limp Bizkit quit making music because Wes left the band. Same with System of a Down, coal chamber, stained, Mudvayne and a host of others. Other bands completely changed their sound to chase trends like Paparoach and linkin Park. NuMetal killed itself.

"Canada’s story gets even more depressing when only young people under 25 are counted. The country then falls to 71st, another new low. Young people were once, on average, the happiest Canadian cohort; now they’re the most miserable. And when compared to 136 countries, that 10-year drop in life satisfaction is one of the largest in the world, placing Canada just four slots from the bottom."
The Globe and Mail@globeandmail

In the country’s worst-ever showing in the 14 years that the report has been published, Canada ranked 25th out of 147 countries in the life-satisfaction standings. theglobeandmail.com/life/article-c…

Making of a Mosaic was published in 2000, written by Ninette Kelley and Michael Trebilcock. This was one of the first books in our era to revise history and tell a story of a virtually nonexistent diversity, presenting the changing attitudes of Canadians towards immigration as a “natural” and “organic” change. I was a tyke in 2000, in primary school. The Molson Canadian beer commercial would drop the same year, praising Canada’s diversity over assimilation. We would see it on TV, alongside the government sponsored commercial “What’s your thing?” from the 1990s, featuring a plethora of kids and hobbies of different backgrounds, despite national demographics not reflecting it. In class, we’d have the string flags with the maple leaf alongside irrelevant third world nations. We were told we were all special and unique in our own ways, but equal in value. As Zillennials, this was the authoritative view of our teachers, parents and society at large. We were expected to accept moral blackmail, told our ancestors ubiquitously gave smallpox blankets to First Nations to exterminate them. Harbour an anti-identity of non-recognizance, told that an immigrant is just as Canadian is you. When we got older, moving into the mid-late 2000s, outside of the classroom, the Blacks would bully the handful of Indians, Pakistanis and the gay kids. Everyone would eat at different tables in the cafeteria, and smoke at different pits or bus stops. It didn’t stop at race. The new Anglophones in Montreal, chiefly the children of Jewish and Mediterranean immigrants sat with themselves, would exclude the British-French, and play soccer in different fields. The Asians all sat together. First Nations sat with themselves or the Whites. I remember a Lebanese telling a Moroccan Jew he was a disgrace in front of our principal. To the French Canadians in the school down the street, we were all Anglos. That was another division. They didn’t know or care about our differences. Told every day we were all the same under the globalist string of flags, and outside the complete opposite. It was this environment, that after three generations of Canadian identity were suppressed for Pierre Trudeau’s post-national economic zone, the seeds of Canadian nationalism were sown.

@FortySacks I am curious as to when this Marxist/globalist propaganda became really prevalent in Canadian schools. I graduated high school in 1996 and there was ZERO anti Canadian sentiment. The same in university and technical college. This was in liberal voting Atlantic Canada at that.
