The British Museum taking things was not "theft" but preservation. Indians may want this back because its the last remaining one, but if they had kept it it would have suffered the same fate as the countless thousands THEY had. Where are yours? You made them. Successive governments have trampled on what it means to be British. They have set aside our culture and our people. @RupertLowe10 is right that being British cannot simply be conveyed by a passport. That may once have been sufficient but mass migration and multi-culturalism has undermined it. @_AdvanceUK policy will define what it means to be British and what is required to be allowed to stay in our country.
