The government will gladly let him die if it means bringing the protest to an end. This is modern day India, a country that has lost its conscience, empathy and compassion for its own people. Hunger strikes and peaceful protests belong to a different era. They no longer seem capable of compelling those in power to act. Now that you've connected with a large section of the youth, build on that momentum and explore other avenues, perhaps even align with the political opposition if that's what it takes to challenge the system. Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation won't solve the problem because he isn't the root cause. The problem is the current government and the system that enables it. If you want lasting change, focus on addressing the root cause rather than settling for the removal of a single minister.

A Muslim man was brutally assaulted by a group of right-wing vigilantes in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, after he was seen with a Hindu woman. The woman was also assaulted assaulted by the right wing goons as she repeatedly tried to shield and save the man from the attackers. Police rescued the couple and took them to the police station. The goons are yet to be identified and arrested despite them giving media statements of the bravery. Let's hope the authorities don't end up taking action against the couple instead of those responsible for the assault.

Looks like there is some kind of an epedemic in Telangana. Be it powerful minister’s son or a very normal man- they are all feeling entitled to assault, rape, murder women. It’s like the state has become lawless and absolutely unsafe place for women. Now hearing news about family member of a Union Minister. The victim is apparently a Dalit woman. Many big names are trying to make a “deal” to make this all go away 🙏🏽 The victim hasn’t filed a police complaint as yet. Once she does, I shall share all details.
