I can determine because I watch a lot of movies. That's not a understatement. I know a good movie when it starts, I know a bad movie when it starts. I even have the ability to go into a movie blind and understand the plot with in the first 10 minutes and sometimes with 100% accuracy can even find the plot twist. My kids mother used to get so upset when we would see movies because I would predict to her what the movie would be, what the big scenes would be like and she would be angry after the movie cause i essentially spoiled it. Some people just have stupid unique skills. One of mine is telling if a movie will be entertaining or worth of value. It doesn't mean you can't enjoy what I don't like. I'm not controlling anyone here. All I am doing is sharing my experience. Call it a lie, but I know the truth because I lived it and continue to do so. 654 movies on plex. 229 movies on vudu. Not to mention that I own a massive library of physical media as well on vhs, laserdisc, dvd, umd, hddvd, blu ray, 4k blu ray. I go to the theater 4 times a week thanks to AMC A List program. Not to mention the streaming services you have access to. I am 36 years old. As long as I can remember, I have been watching movies and tv shows on a television and now my pc, phone, tablet, the theater. where ever you go now you can be watching something. I am always watching movies. Even when I drive. I have a movie playing, I may not be entirely focused on the movie and may be using it more as an audio book? but I almost always have something going. Even when I clean. I put a movie on the CRT tv and let it play in the background just like how I remember my mother would clean and watch stuff. So yes. I can tell a good movie from a bad one. I have a lifetime of experience. p.s I even have old film reel silent movies that I play in my garage for fun when I wanna really change it up.
