@ChrisPenknz Would be better to invest in getting people healthier and taking self responsibility for their health which would take the pressure off the health system.

Enoch Burke
Enoch Burke@EnochBurke·
BREAKING: Security barred teacher Enoch Burke from attending his school this morning after he refused to call a child “they”. An excellent, highly educated Irish teacher, commended by students and parents, blocked from his place of work because he will not deny his Christian belief. Andrew Wilson directed in 1724 that Wilson’s Hospital School be founded with a Christian ethos, as a place where young men would be brought up to live a righteous life. Today a teacher is barred from entering simply because he will not trample on the Christian ethos of the school and endorse transgenderism.

My cousin, a school teacher (so vaxxed a lot), is suffering from terrible long Covid. Unable to work, she's had Covid multiple times. My question is, what use is the vax? It doesn't stop transmission, long Covid, or bad illness. What exactly does it do? Is it utterly useless?

We getting reports of school lunches being STOLEN by teachers and school staff rather than all the lunches reaching kids. Should schools be taking measures to ensure school lunches are only going to kids? @dbseymour

The Minister of Colonial Affairs knows no other way. The Cook Islands are a Sovereign Nation, it’s theirs not ours. Did NZ Consult with the Cooks when we were signing an agreement with other Country’s? No, Didn’t think so.

#BHN really important observation. We all know Luxon skipped Waitangi which speaks volumes…but I think this speaks more No #2 Willis, no #3 Bishop, no #4 Simeon…they sent #5 in Erica Stanford as their most senior minister. That’s what Waitangi Day means to National

The"Covid spending package rescued the economy, saved jobs, and kept firms afloat. In the face of Covid’s global recession, it was those injections of state spending that kept the economy ticking over. Willis has largely done the exact opposite. werewolf.co.nz/2024/12/gordon…

Every health agency has submitted their annual report except Health NZ. Why the delay? Is it because there’s a discrepancy between the audited accounts and those belatedly released to the SC in Sept? MPs need time to read the report on $26b of public $ before scrutiny week.

Give me a break! Luxon says “there is nothing more important to New Zealand than the rural sector.” Rural people are increasingly drinking nitrate-contaminated water because the Govt fails to protect them from the dairy industry. #TooManyCows waikatotimes.co.nz/nz-news/360500…

@WillieJLabour The bill is up for discussion. How else would this be raised to discuss? Māori are represented across the parties so it’s not being done by DS alone. It also isn’t rewriting the treaty. The treaty is a 2 party doc as you say. Not just Māoris.

Jack Tame did a great job of really pushing David Seymour on his nonsense this morning on Q+A and it's a reminder of just how important good public broadcasting is to explaining and understanding the big issues we are facing as a country. David has been spouting garbage and Jack put him right on three important points. The first is this ridiculous claim that somehow there has been no place on earth where two cultures have managed to work together in one country. Seymour claims any country who has tried to accommodate different cultures are failed states, yet Jack pointed out Sweden, Australia, Canada and America all as examples of countries that have had the maturity to comprehend this. Sweden, Australia, Canada and America are hardly failed states! They each have indigenous rights enshrined in law and it hasn't been the end of them! Jack also pushed Seymour on this simple fact, he is demanding as one side of the Treaty to rewrite the entire meaning and definition of that Treaty with no agreement from Māori! Jack pointed out that the Judiciary are the ones who can be an independent arbiter between Māori and the Crown, yet Seymour simply wants to rewrite the interpretation of the Treaty with no one other than himself making the decision! David Seymour representing the crown has taken it upon himself to re-interpret a contract without any agreement from the other side of that contract! Who made Seymour God? I thought the Right were all about contract rights? Jack also slammed David on the referendum by pointing out Māori are only 18% of the population meaning any referendum about their customary rights is decided by a majority that isn't Māori! Māori will not be defined by David Seymour. Māori will not be limited by David Seymour and as the 60 000 plus Māori, Pakeha, Pacifica, Asian, disabled, rainbow community, young old, rich and poor who marched to Parliament last week showed us, the people of New Zealand won't allow Seymour to divide us any longer. Great job Jack. This is what Public Broadcasting is supposed to do, bring real insight to important issues.

What stupid wasteful questions to Debbie Ngarewa-Parker @jacktame re haka etc. Why not concentrate on the bill. Seymour got to spout his vile views for about 80% of his interview. You didn't ask him about his Atlas network connections & how his bill clears the way for mining etc.
