@marclou We went to an Airbnb in Edinburgh a few years ago, it was a right mess. The bath was broken and had sick underneath 😂 Airbnb cancelled the booking and paid extra for us to stay somewhere nice. They were great!

Airbnb just blew my mind. Last month, my wife and I booked a place ($277 per night) for 4 weeks in the south of France. The place was nice, but we kept having issues: slow wifi, broken appliances, noisy neighbors. We messaged the hosts every time something happened (this is important). They were kind and fixed everything they could. I didn't leave a review after the stay because I'm a labrador and I don't like to share negative stuff. If I had to, it would be 3 out of 5. Airbnb reached out by email asking what went wrong. They knew we had constant issues. I think they analyze threads between hosts and guests using AI. I didn't reply to the first email. A few days later, they refunded the ENTIRE stay ($7,756) without us asking anything.

I learnt this on here too It's much easier to just dry scoop creatine in my mouth Then wash it away with sparkling water Much better for me than mixing it in a glass and drinking that, which tastes so nasty

@levelsio @malthus42 @bcardarella Wait it's less gross to dry scoop? Dang I've been doing it wrong

This “simple” form builder is doing $2,000,000/year. I just love the founders’ tweet. It’s an MBA on how to succeed in SaaS. Shoutout: @MarieMartens

"We are the same" is a trap lots of unsuccessful people fall into You're smart, you're skilled, maybe you even had the same ideas as Marc. So why aren't YOU successful? The most successful people I met in my 10 years of entrepreneurship were the ones who "do first, think after". Some of them were complete idiots, and yet they banked millions simply because they didn't THINK, they just DID things. That made me furious. They were so dumb, how could they be successful and not me? Because being smart is not an advantage. Doing things is. When you're smart and see someone who actually ship something you thought of, you get angry. Because they actually did what YOU could have done and they succeeded. They beated you. When it's a zero-sum game (ex: being the first to launch an idea), it's even worse cause now you can't do it anymore. Anything happening in your mind is not real. You can plan all you want, think of how successful you will be, but eventually you have to DO something. If you don't DO, someone else will DO, and you will become bitter toward yourself for not DOING what you could. That's the difference between you and him. He did.
Dagobert - Corporate sellout 👔@dagorenouf

.@marclou and I are the same. Both of us built passion projects for years, then failed because we couldn’t find customers. And both of us got deeply hurt by it. The only difference is that he’s coping by launching courses to make easy money. And I’m coping by not launching anything anymore. But in the end both of us are just scared of building a real startup we care about again. Both of us became scared to follow our dreams. And that’s why we are in pain. Sending love to Marc and everyone on the entrepreneurship journey 💙

@JaySConfig Nice hack! Have you ever tried the Pomodoro technique? What you’re doing is pretty close — just with better vibes thanks to YouTube mixes. 🎧😄

Anyone else get completely derailed after a bad night’s sleep? I’ve already been for a run, walked the dogs twice, but my brain still feels stuck in first gear today. Any tips for getting unstuck?

@workslikejenga I've not done anything in regards to the API, the app is more focused on strategy and content creation. I'll want to use the API eventually but for the MVP I'll do without,

@JaySConfig Hey , that's pretty cool , Are you leaning more into post analytics, engagement scheduling, or AI content creation? I have heard a lot about LinkedIn's API limitations as well , what's going on there ?

@BabakNabiee Thanks! I was thinking around that mark. I was probably just going to do a monthly and an annual plan (heavily discounted). I suppose I'll get a lot more info and feedback when I launch it.

That’s actually really good — when the manual alternative costs $800+, you have strong pricing power. You could start around $19–29/month and still feel like a steal to customers. (Testing different tiers early is smart — people will tell you what’s too high or too low.) You’re in a great position — congrats again!

@JaySConfig Hi mate , Pricing is a function of value, not just features, bro. What kind of outcome does your app deliver? Would love to know.

@peerzadaburhan7 There are a few products in the space. But they all kind of miss the point. I’m taking a different approach.

@BabakNabiee Thank you! Chatgpt says 9$ a month 😂 There’s no like for like competitors, but apps that have a similar offering are $30 a month upwards. But, if you paid someone to do what my app does it would easily be $800+ a month.

Pricing can be tricky without knowing the full value you're offering, but a good starting point is to consider: 1) the problem you solve, 2) the type of customer you're targeting, and 3) what alternatives cost. You can also test different price points early and adjust based on feedback. Congrats on getting close to launch — that's a huge milestone!

@mbfpoker I’ve had a few conversations with gpt but it just seems to suggest really low pricing when similar apps are 3-4x more.
