@JShortyyyyy @momofzilla @hebrewedit @1022Cp @jeffstorobinsky @MikeSington Yep…they seem to forget it took a REPUBLICAN to FREE THE SLAVES. After, some went north, but to prevent too many, the Democrats offered blacks just enough to be satisfied but NEVER ENOUGH to get ahead. What’s worse is that they’re STILL doing it. Blacks are starting to wake up.

@Cymdyboy @CNN But yet we let crazies & ILLEGAL ALIENS get away with murder, doing practically nothing. Oh, that’s right 🤦🏼‍♀️, we release them back into the community.

@CNN Wild how decades later the truth still comes out… 51 years and the family finally has some closure, but damn, the pain must’ve lingered all this time. Terrifying to think how long some monsters get away with it.

@CNN DNA has been a real blessing in Law enforcement by solving many old cold cases and finally bringing the Killers to justice a lot of the time and helps the families of the victims to bring some closure to their painful loss of a loved one.

@CNN It’s wild that even 50+ years later, we’re still discovering the full scale of his crimes. DNA technology is really changing the game for cold cases. Which cold case do you want to see solved next?

Pete Hegseth for Secretary of Defense? You Must Be Kidding. Grab your pearls and clutch them tight. The nomination of Pete Hegseth to lead the Department of Defense is the kind of bad joke no one’s laughing at—except maybe Pete himself. A man whose primary qualifications are flashy soundbites and Fox News airtime is being considered for overseeing the world’s most sophisticated military. Let that sink in. From TV Studio to Pentagon? Hegseth’s background reads like a reality show audition tape, not a résumé fit for leading the DoD. Sure, he served in the military, and we thank him for that (not really). Going to faraway places to kill people and destroy countries is nothing to be proud of. But transitioning from TV punditry to running a $1.7 trillion defense operation? That’s like putting a talk show host in charge of open-heart surgery—ridiculous and downright dangerous. Loyalty Over Logic Let’s call it what it is: a political pat on the back. Hegseth’s real “qualification” seems to be his unflinching devotion to Trump. Forget merit, forget competence—this is partisan politics in its most naked form. Is the Pentagon the new prize for sycophantic loyalty? Ideologue in a Uniform Hegseth has built his brand on inflammatory rhetoric, hawkish oversimplifications, and ideological grandstanding. His worldview—reduced to good guys vs. bad guys—might make for riveting TV, but it’s a liability in the real world of complex diplomacy and high-stakes conflict. Strategic Void Where’s the evidence Hegseth has the chops to handle real threats? Cyber warfare, China, Russia, nuclear deterrence—these aren’t issues you can shout your way through on cable news. The DoD requires a leader with foresight, strategy, and nuance. Hegseth hasn’t demonstrated any of those qualities. Division Personified The Secretary of Defense must unify, not polarize. Yet Hegseth’s public persona is a lightning rod of division. Can someone so ensconced in partisan warfare lead the diverse, bipartisan military machine this nation depends on? Ethics, Budget, and Accountability—Oh My! Let’s not forget the skeletons in Hegseth’s closet. Allegations of nonprofit fund misuse and a history of controversy don’t exactly scream “trustworthy.” Now, we’re supposed to hand him the keys to a trillion-dollar budget and hope for the best? Alienating Allies, Emboldening Adversaries Under Trump’s “America First” mantra, global alliances took a hit. Hegseth’s nomination is another nail in the coffin of NATO’s collective strength (well that's a good thing). His alignment with a doctrine that alienates allies is a gift-wrapped opportunity for adversaries like Russia and China. Militarization of Diplomacy This move signals a chilling shift—diplomacy out, saber-rattling in. Do we really want a Defense Secretary more interested in chest-thumping than strategic peacebuilding? Hegseth’s nomination feels like a step toward escalating tensions, not resolving them. Trust Issues Galore How can the public trust someone who thrives on sensationalism to lead with the gravitas national defense demands? Hegseth’s track record is a litany of partisanship and controversy, not the calm, measured leadership we need in perilous times. Bottom Line This nomination is a disaster in the making. Pete Hegseth isn’t just a poor choice—he’s an insult to the competence, strategy, and professionalism the Department of Defense embodies. America deserves better. Our soldiers deserve better. The world deserves better. If this is the future of leadership, we might all need helmets.

@ImGinnyRobinson @TheReallMrDean No, if you’re ANTI-feminist, you are ALL IN on MEN IN WOMEN’S SPORTS. You are AGAINST EVERYTHING that women have WORKED & WAITED FOR and most of all EARNED. And now you want to diminish women like it’s the 1800s.

@blepharopsis @Nunyab234 @AFpost Why don’t you tell Iran to pay attention. They’ve been very busy bees making bigger and bigger bombs and enriching uranium way past their allowed amount. You think they just want to sit on these? NO They’ve been bombing their Middle East neighbors.

California is ready to fight.   I just called an emergency special session to help bolster our legal resources and protect our state against any unlawful actions by the incoming Trump Administration. Whether it be our fundamental civil rights, reproductive freedom, or climate action -- we refuse to turn back the clock and allow our values and laws to be attacked. nytimes.com/2024/11/07/us/…

@westcoast_lyfe @GavinNewsom Greater than 95% OF COUNTIES in the U.S. VOTED FOR TRUMP. Dems should be a small minority. Why do they keep thinking they can boss us all around. They chant and sing off key and yell into microphones. Pathetic

@WesternLensman @irishteo Never ceases to amaze me how many prominent Dems will say cheating in elections is impossible and simultaneously say Republicans cheat or will cheat. One way Nancy could help “be on guard” is require every voter show a photo id and proof of citizenship. Crazy, I know.
