I'm sorry but how on earth is this not front page news everywhere? A child. Cigarettes extinguished on his body. A metal rod inserted into his feet. In front of his father. This is documented, filmed, and handed over through the Red Cross. Where is the ICC? Where is the outrage from those who lecture the world about human rights?
Sameh Ahmed 𓂆 🇵🇸@PalPress24

The child who was subjected to torture (including having cigarettes extinguished on his body and a metal rod inserted into his feet in front of his father)— In a delayed video released by the occupation, the moment of his handover to the International Committee of the Red Cross is documented in the “Yellow Line” area east of Gaza, days after he was detained along with his father. During his detention, he was subjected to severe abuses, while his father remains imprisoned by the occupation to this moment.

At Davos, likely Democratic US Presidential candidate Gavin Newsom berates "pathetic" European leaders for their disgusting and groveling fealty in continually being conned by Trump. "I should have brought a bunch of knee pads for all the world leaders", "It's pathetic".

@PeteMolyneux It was painful to watch last night - Martinez constantly going sideways, a lack of overall endeavour to attack.

Dreadful night @ Old Trafford. In calendar year 2025 Man United have played 19 home league games. Our record is - Won 8 Drawn 5 Lost 6. 29 points from a possible 57. A woeful return for a club of our stature. On a par with #MUFC's relegation slide of 72-74. I'll leave it there

Ukraine did not start this war. Russia started it. Ukraine supported President Trump’s proposal for a ceasefire. Ukraine has agreed to many different compromises, and this is documented in our draft agreements, in our 20-point plan. Ukraine is willing to do whatever it takes to stop this war. For us, priority number one – or the only priority – is ending the war. For us, the priority is peace. We need to be strong at the negotiating table. To be strong, we need the support of the world: Europe and the United States. And this includes air defenses – which are currently insufficient, weaponry – which is currently insufficient, and money – thankfully, there is now a European decision, but, frankly, there is a constant shortage of funds, in particular for the production of weapons and, most importantly, drones. In this war of Russia against Ukraine, we want peace, and Russia demonstrates a desire to continue the war. If the whole world – Europe and America – is on our side, together we will stop Putin. Because together we will all want the same thing: an end to the war, peace – a normal peace, a sustainable peace, safe for the whole world. If anyone – whether the U.S. or Europe – is on Russia’s side, this means the war will continue. There are no other options here. And this is a risk for all countries in the world. Because Russia will not stop, regardless of any agreements, any eloquent messages from them. They will not stop at Ukraine.

This is what Twitter is for - so right wing shit-stirrers can post an old photo of someone in America picking up a bird that was hit by a car and claim it is a migrant in the UK killing birds in a park. Thankyou Elon for making this possible.

The claim that climate change is “real but not existential” is a distraction. No serious scientist argues human extinction is the risk. The risk is systemic damage that compounds — and it’s already visible at ~1.3°C of warming. Measured reality, not panic: • Extreme heat events that were once 1-in-100 years now happen roughly every decade. • Sea level rise is accelerating — satellite data shows the rate has more than doubled since the 1990s. • Heat is already reducing crop yields; this is observed, not modelled. Calling that a “moderate inconvenience” is fantasy economics. Permanent losses of even 1–2% of GDP per year compound into trillions and lock in instability — especially for poorer regions. The “renewables made no difference” line collapses under basic facts: • Wind & solar are now the cheapest new electricity in most countries. • Fossil use rose because global energy demand exploded, not because clean energy failed. • Where renewables scaled fastest, power-sector emissions fell fastest. Even Elon Musk — hardly a climate activist — is blunt: solar + storage will dominate because it’s cheaper, scalable, and inevitable. That’s physics and economics, not ideology. Yes, activists exaggerated timelines. That doesn’t repeal thermodynamics. We don’t deny heart disease because someone once overstated the risk. Climate change isn’t the apocalypse. It is a risk multiplier for food, water, health, migration and conflict — and dismissing that as “panic” isn’t realism, it’s complacency. Sanity isn’t declaring victory. Sanity is acting before costs compound beyond easy repair. We both have kids; even the Mail accepts there is Climate Change - why wouldn’t we make it better if we could and even more so, if we could create a compelling U.K. economic advantage by doing so. As ever, I remain open to meeting and discussing all things battery and auto (since I’m not qualified to talk about anything else).

@RallyingUK Colin Clark and David Evans said that Elfyn keeps the same consistency as this year, that extra rally Seb misses is one too many for him to win. I’m not so sure but fancy Solberg to take a few wins next year.
