Girl Icon is heading to England (Skye’s home country) to @sheffdocfest in June and we are even nominated for the Best Digital Narrative Award,

Conversations about representation in the media took place. The event was in collaboration with Red Black Green - the affinity group for black employees at @hugeinc.

Girl Icon's director, @ladyespii spoke alongside moderator, @dlabeach & @RXahra, the head of @ContrastVR for @AlJazeera Digital, about the impact of telling black stories through emerging tech & immersive filmmaking at the @BLKPublicMedia VR Mixer last week.

@ayaticharity, a partner of @SupportMilaan & the Girl Icon program, stopped by last week for a screening of Girl Icon! Their mission is to develop & support programs that bring education & materials to promote optimal hygienic practices to girls in rural parts of India.

Girl Icon is traveling the globe! We're excited to announce that Girl Icon will have its European Premiere at @KatapultFutureF in Oslo, Norway on May 15th & 16th. We can't wait to bring Rani’s story to our European audience next month!

In addition to his career as a recording artist, Saleh has also founded The Libretto Project and works as a composer scoring films and commercials.

His unique sound is deeply rooted in a troubadour tradition and has a heavy emphasis on lyrics and melody, with nods to gypsy, tango, and electronic music.
