Spent the weekend building this database client—still unsure about the Cmd+K experience. On the homepage, users can add graphs & tables, plus use Cmd+K to navigate and take actions. Good DX?

@kentcdodds Exactly 💯. It's like flexing about having the fastest car on a track when your real goal is just getting to the grocery store. Context matters more than raw numbers.

We make benchmarks about objective things because objective things are comparatively easy. We can't make benchmarks about the importance of those objective things because it's subjective. So we end up with: "look how much better thing 1 is at x than thing 2" which sounds impressive until you realize that in your case thing 2 is so good at x that being any better makes not real impact to your goals.
