@alexey_rodionov I will leave it be for now, played a few hours of Arc Raiders in 4k 120hz, visually still far ahead of my previous monitor. Even at 4k it is a stunning display.

@alexey_rodionov All very good info. I did some digging yesterday, unfortunately, there isn't a way with my current motherboard to get Thunderbolt 5. The onboard USB-C ports don't support display alt-mode. Monday I will hookup my work laptop via USB-C and see if I have any luck there.

Apple Studio Display XDR and Windows is a go! It appears to do 4k 120Hz, 5k 60Hz. The 5k 120Hz might be a go if was using TB5 instead of DisplayPort?

The new Apple Studio Display XDR has Windows capability out of the box. I will be testing later today when mine arrives. While Windows support isn't priority 1, it is nice to have for those of us with multiple computers.

My 2020 Intel 13” MacBook Pro works fine with the 2026 Studio Display & XDR.

I refuse to believe that the new 2026 Studio Display won't work on Intel Macs. I just verified that the 2016 12" MacBook works with the original 2022 Studio Display (at 4k resolution) My guess is that the new monitor will work just fine on Intel Macs! Is this a marketing ploy?

Blueprint Alert! ⚠️
The ARC Raiders developers may have quietly made finding augment blueprints EASIER!
Since this week's update, I've had a few reports of players finding Augment blueprints in very weird places (breachable cars, electrical boxes), if YOU have seen an augment in somewhere like that, let me know! Any videos would really help as well!
The blueprint loot pool is always being adjusted so this could be good news for any people still looking for augment blueprints, I just need to test it out to find if it's true or not

My wife just asked me if I'm "done working" because her sister wants to FaceTime.
I said, "Yeah, the upgrade finished. Everything's stable now."
I haven't looked at a single work system all day. I've been playing Elden Ring for 4 hours.
But I made sure to leave my laptop open on my desk with a terminal window visible. Just black screen with green text scrolling. Looks very official.
It's actually just running ping google on repeat. But to anyone who glances in, it looks like I'm monitoring something critical.
We got on FaceTime with her sister. She asked what I was working on today.
I said, "Just some backend infrastructure maintenance. Nothing exciting."
She said, "You work too hard."
I nodded solemnly. "Someone's gotta keep the lights on."
My wife squeezed my hand. She thinks I'm dedicated.
The truth? I haven't done a single work-related thing since Thursday afternoon.
But the appearance of work is more important than the work itself. And the best part about IT? Nobody actually knows what you're doing, so they just assume you're doing something important.
Legacy building isn't about what you accomplish. It's about what people think you accomplish.
