Kurt Kitayama journey worth repeating. In 2017, finished 119th on KFT money list and lost his card. Went to 1st stage at Euro Tour Q school...having NEVER played a single round in Europe, got thru all 3 stages, got his card, and entirely changed his career. Since getting thru he has two Euro wins, two pga tour wins and made about 20 million.

Priorities unchanged. Another major secured. The wins keep coming on and off the course for Scottie Scheffler

@Top100Rick Something @AndyTFE had talked about for years. Scottie’s main sponsors— TM, Nike, Rolex require very little of him. He lives a simple life and this greatly contributes to it

Jordan Spieth has known Scottie Scheffler for years and is a good friend. Listen to how he talks about what makes Scottie different. An interest comment is about Corporate commitments. Guys like Jordan and Fowler have always done tons of corporate outings to fulfill their sponsorships. If you notice, Scheffler seems to only do a few things for Taylor Made. That’s it. He isn’t chasing more money or any “branding” fame. Those events take travel and time. Fowler was often criticized for committing upwards of 28 days a year to corporate sponsors. No hate on Jordan or Rickie for chasing those dollars. But Scottie doesn’t and I think it matters a lot. That extra time goes to his family and to practice. That makes him better while other players are getting worse.

As you watch The Open unfold this week, ask yourself this question. How can a major championship contested over courses such as Valhalla or Quail Hollow expect to command the same respect as one played over a world-class links like Royal Portrush?

The men's game has huge problems with the imbalance between the player and the course right now! Why would the women's game want to emulate that? It can be *better* than that.

Mel Reid is clearly a very talented and persuasive commentator, but I don't really get her argument here. Why use the PGA Tour as a barometer for what scoring averages, course length, and course setup on the LPGA Tour should be?
