@joncoopertweets I wouldn’t let politics ruin a friendship, especially when you may not even know why he voted for who you voted for. Have the conversation don’t just sit there in smug judgment, as if for whatever reason your opinion is superior.

I need your advice. I recently ended a friendship with someone who I’ve known for a couple of years. He never discussed politics with me — at least, not until a few days ago. That’s when he told me he voted for Trump in the last two elections, and plans to vote for him again in 2024. Was I wrong to cut him off? Frankly, I just can’t imagine hanging out with him now that I know he supports Trump and condones what he stands for.
