How can freelancing change your perspective on life and work? From a young age, I had to find ways to make money online because traditional job opportunities were impossible for me due to travelling to nowhere land. (My mum decided to move countries on a whim, leaving me with little choice, but to freelance.) I've never held a typical 9-5 job until THIS YEAR, which I know might sound like I’m boasting, but it was more out of necessity than anything else. I started out by creating assets for games like Second Life and the Unity marketplace. When I finally got the chance to work in a corporate setting at a call centre, I realised just how privileged I had been to avoid that environment. I thought I was missing out on corporate culture and the “corporate jargon”, but I quickly realised that I wasn't. Especially in a company that treats you like shit, it became clear that it's far better to make a humble income on your own terms than to endure a job that degrades you on a day to day basis. If I could navigate freelancing from a young age with no traditional job experience, so can you. Start by identifying your skills ( or build them like me), learn what the market needs, and start! ( Remember, just be stubborn as hell- if you give up you will not see your full potential.) Honestly, you don’t need to be tied to a job that treats you like disposable shit—there are alternatives, and you have the power to pursue them. Take the goddamn control of your life - because we live in a world that makes it possible! ( The internet is an amazing asset to us all)

Learning can be quite comfortable, but applying what you've learned is challenging. It's tempting to use the title 'student for life' as a convenient shield. Avoiding the vulnerability that comes with admitting struggles or setbacks when putting knowledge into practice. But can we really curb our overconsumption and focus on action instead? Consider this: no one has ever learned to code by merely reading about syntax—they've learned by building projects. Similarly, no one has mastered riding a bike by simply reading instructions. Have you noticed that we're all becoming addicted to consuming knowledge without truly engaging with it? What are we really doing with the information we absorb? The only way to improve yourself is by sharing what you've learned in a thorough manner or, better yet, by putting it into practice.

@BocchiTheChaos It’s hard, as we are all lonely as hell. I feel like there’s so much opportunity to meet people and make friends/ hence why my ass and others just can’t get their eyes off the screen 🫢

@johnnyxwang I think it’s cause people feel burnt out and that’s why they don’t stay here for too long. It does take a lot of effort to grow- but it’s worth it :)

In 7 months on 𝕏. I've seen hundreds of creators come and go. I used to admire people who: → Were growing quickly → Had large followings But most of them have quit already. Now? I look up to people who've stayed in the game the longest. I'm here to build a sustainable business. Not 5 minutes of fame.

Meet Bob. - He loves coffee - feared pigeons - and could nap anywhere. One day his friend Karen suggested he build a personal brand. And build a brand he did. Bob became "The Nap King," sharing his napping wisdom online— Value posts on how to take a nap - under desks, - in grocery aisles, - on park benches. He loved the dopamine rush of going viral and stacking up followers. But the pressure to keep up eventually wore him out. He realized, in the midst of chasing numbers, that instead of building a brand around his life, he had turned his life into a brand. He course-corrected immediately— Eased off, relaxed, and focused on living. And, surprise surprise, his brand grew even stronger. Now, the brand guru Bob wants to share one simple wisdom with you: The best brand is just being yourself. Learn from Bob

You can make: $10K/mo as a closer. $10K/mo as a copywriter. $10K/mo as a ghostwriter. $10K/mo as a web designer. $10K/mo as a community manger. You get 0 results because you're constantly switching businesses. Pick 1 and go all in.

@ItsKieranDrew How can you ensure that you recognise and leverage the value of your ideas- how would you know you’re interesting- or plain ass boring? 👀

Stop undervaluing the quality of your ideas. The more interesting you are, the more attention you earn, the more money you make. Time spent thinking is time spent earning.

@mskoriwilson Sometimes we have less focus or our focus drifts towards things that don’t really matter. We end up blaming it on time- as it’s an easier excuse.

@MuskDesigns Thank you Lucas! 🌻 I'm just trying to motivate people that anything can be possible- I know it's not much to brag, but it's some validation- that things can happen if you really want it to :)

Kids selling bullshit. That’s what it means in 2024. It’s interesting how x works, lol . I just tweeted about this. My take is, if you’re running a course business based on ‘past experience’ - that wasn’t as successful as it’s portrayed ( 99% case online) it’s worth considering: are you really striking gold, or just selling shovels? There’s a big difference between finding treasure and exploiting a gap where you target naive ppl. And most ppl online…. 👀
