I'm 35. I make $185k/yr in my 9-5 → I've worked at Disney → Designed apps for the MONA → Worked on life-saving medical tech Now I'm building a business on 𝕏. Why? I've spent 15 years. Building other people's dreams. They were incredible dreams. I'm lucky to have been a part of them. But they weren't my dreams. I've always wanted to build a business. But nothing ever motivated me enough to start. Until now. My journey started in December. I was traveling with my girl in Thailand. When I stumbled on my first Dan Koe video. In a taxi on the way to an Airbnb in Phuket. While I was there, I binged dozens of videos. He opened my eyes. To the world of personal branding. On the morning I landed back in Australia. It was 6am. I had work at 9am. So, in the taxi on the way home. Exhausted from an overnight flight. I created my 𝕏 account. You see, I love my job. But I loved my time in Thailand even more. I wanted to travel freely. I wanted to work while traveling. This was my first taste of it. I was hooked. Life changing moments are rare. But this was one of them. The past 4 months have been a dream. Building a brand for myself. Growing an engaged audience. Making amazing friends. Starting my own community. Being inspired by people half my age. Making my first $ online. All while writing about what I love. You know, it's funny. I make $15,000 every month from my job. But I've never celebrated as much as I did. When I made my first $500 on 𝕏. I've been thinking about why that is. It's because that money was made. With something I created with my own hands. Someone trusted me with their hard earned money. So that I can help them change their life, too. That's why it feels different. The money is more meaningful. I'll always remember that $500. Because it made me believe in this path. It made me believe I could build my dream business. While using it to fund my personal dreams. Traveling the world. Working while traveling. Rebuilding my house. So, if you're already on this path with me, Let's f*cking get it. If you're still on the fence, I hope this inspires you to commit. And if this is new to you, Better get on the train soon.
