Trump admin. caught in a lie regarding mass IRS layoffs. The Trump admin. fired 7,300+ probationary IRS employees in February, with a termination letter stating: "taking into account your performance... your continued employment... is not in the public interest." However, a new IG report found that 51% of those newer probationary employees didn't even have a performance evaluation on record yet. Glad I paid the $120 to access Tarrant County District Court records so I could read details of what’s going on in Paxton’s suit against Beto and PxP. As y’all know on Aug 8 Paxton got a TRO against Beto and PxP which prevented Beto and PxP from transferring money to quorum-breaking House Dems for out of state travel, hotel or dining accomodations or services and daily fines and from raising money for same via ActBlue. The Court, at Paxton’s urging, restricted Beto/PxP from removing property or funds from the State of Texas during the pendency of this lawsuit. Paxton also used the lawsuit to place a “lien” on PxP’s “property” and paxton seeks to end PxP from doing business in Texas The Court set a Temporary Injunction hearing for 10am August 19, 2025 Beto’s defense team has filed an emergency motion to transfer venue of the matter to El Paso County. They’ve asked for an expedited ruling on that venue motion on or before the TI hearing on the 19th. Beto held his rally on Saturday Aug 9 in Ft Worth, in the very county in which he was sued. It was a spirited rally, an American masterpiece of exercising his First Amendment protected speech. Paxton flipped out, and on Monday Aug 11 filed an emergency motion to modify the TRO and asked the court to hold Beto in contempt - and to jail him - because Beto said “f*** the rules…” and “there are no refs in this game” which Paxton falsely told the court was meant as defying the judge and the TRO. Beto’s lawyers have provided the court with the full quotation of the remarks in question, and the transcript makes clear that Beto was referring to the act of redistricting among the several states. Paxton intentionally misrepresented Beto’s protected political speech, claiming falsely that Beto “bragged about violating the Court’s temporary restraining order,” and Beto’s lawyers have alerted the court that a motion for sanctions against Paxton will soon follow. Then at 1:22pm today Paxton filed an emergency request for expedited discovery, seeking a 2.5 hour deposition of Beto, a separate 2.5 hour deposition of a corporate representative of PxP on selected topics and production of documents and communications relating to planned or actual arrangements, accommodations or meals outside of Texas for any Texas legislators, their staff or their families, and six other categories of documents. Paxton seeks the two depositions to take place and the documents to be produced by Friday Aug. 15 so he can prepare for the Aug 19 TI hearing. As of 5:30pm this afternoon Judge Megan Fahey had not ruled on Paxton’s several “emergency” motions.

It seems to me that the only way some of the fleeing Democrats can avoid bribery charges is to not break quorum. It seems that would eliminate any potential quid pro quo connected to any payment they received to deny a quorum and skip a vote.

NEWS ABC News has suspended Terry Moran for this now-deleted tweet about Stephen Miller. This morning, the White House Press Secretary said she asked ABC News for accountability. The Vice President also posted that ABC News should apologize to Miller. Finally, Miller’s wife, former White House aide Katie Miller, said that Terry should be fired. A reminder that ABC News and George Stephanopoulos paid a multi-million dollar settlement to President Trump.

Yesterday, Susan Rice said of the Trump-Zelensky meeting, "There is no question this was a set up." She revealed full knowledge of the mineral agreement, complained that it didn't include "concrete" security agrees (meaning, apparently, commitment of US troops on the ground if conditions merit), and then mischaracterized Trump's behavior, counting on most Americans to not have watched what transpired over the entire hour in the Oval Office. You can look at this and dismiss it as typical Democrat talking points, but you could also view it as almost a confession, one that includes details about the current "Get Trump" effort. Yes, Trump won the popular vote against unbelievable odds, but if you think Team Obama is being any less involved in quiet insurrections than they were during the first Trump administration (Russia collusion, Ukraine impeachment, etc.), you're clueless. I'll remind you that Susan Rice was in the small Jan. 5, 2017 meeting in the WH with other key Russia collusion hoax perpetrators. Zelensky repeatedly declined opportunities to sign the deal in Kyiv and Munich, and requested the meeting at the White House. It later came out that Rice and Tony Blinken, Victoria Nuland, and Alexander Vindman may have been personally advising Zelensky to do this meeting in the way he did -- that they recommended him to be hostile and to try to goad Trump into blowing up. Even though he didn't, and even though Zelensky's actions horrified many normal Americans, the Obama team went on the airwaves to falsely characterize what happened. I think their goal was to have a wonderful performance by Zelensky, an angry Trump appearing to scuttle the deal, and the support of the neocon portion of the GOP to start applying pressure on Trump to have US Troop commitments as part of the "security guarantee." It was a set-up, in Susan Rice's interesting choice of words. Instead, Zelensky had one of the worst stage performances of his acting career, and Trump was statesmanlike (against all odds) throughout. Zelensky followed Team Obama's advice to be hostile to a tee, but it didn't land how they thought it would. Surprisingly, one of the most important aspects of it not working out might have been Lindsay Graham's reaction. Had he and other neocons thought Zelensky was being reasonable, Trump would be having to fight (even moreso) the neocon portion of the GOP in addition to Team Obama's dirty tricks. Even the "conservative" neocon pundits on TV last night were admitting Zelensky had royally messed up. As you can see from the hostility of the bureaucracy to any Republican oversight, no matter how reasonable or minor it may be, the entrenched bureaucracy and permanent DC apparatus is quite active. That goes quadruple for the deep state in the Intelligence Community. I'd expect more and more shenanigans and to be prepared so that you don't fall for the next information operation. The post-WWII architecture in Europe and the US needs this war to continue or be settled on "US troops on the ground" type guarantees, even though that's not what Americans want. Things will heat up here, and it's a very dangerous time.
