@Aochhii Yeah, there's an episode that's just a giant homage to Tsuge's work as a whole. Seems to have left quite an impression on him. I imagine a late-teens Oshii picking up an issue of Garo and having his brain chemistry forever altered.

The first half of episode 53 of Urusei Yatsura seemed inspired by Nejishiki. It's common to be referenced, but something directed by Oshii doing it is particularly cool.
