The @BJP4India has cheated the women of India yet again. Knowing fully well that linking delimitation to Women's Reservation would lead to the Opposition voting against the bill, and being aware that they lacked the necessary numbers, the government introduced the bill in a rushed manner. The emotions of the women of this nation are being exploited for political mileage. I urge all women to see through this web of deception and teach the BJP a lesson, beginning with West Bengal, where a woman is leading the battle. Secondly, now that the bill has failed to pass, they should wait for the 2027 Census so that an OBC sub-quota can be incorporated. By opposing this bill, what has Congress actually achieved? * They have delayed the implementation of the Women’s Reservation Bill, betraying women. * By opposing the 50% proportional seat increase, they have enabled the next delimitation to be done on the 2027 Census, which will redistribute the existing 543 seats and will gravely compromise the less populous southern states. Congress and DMK will have a lot to pay for. Shame on them!

What happens if delimitation is delayed or not undertaken? If nothing is done, Articles 81, 82 and 330A will automatically trigger after the next Census, leading to the redistribution of the existing 543 seats purely based on population. Take Kerala, from 20 seats today, it could drop to 14 if seats are redistributed based on projected 2027 population.
