Communism will never work. I believe most young people who support communism mean well. They see Democratic Socialism work in tiny European countries, they think communism would lead to equality for all and solve the issues with wealth disparity and corruption. It certainly sounds nice in theory! But a communist government cannot exist without an oppressive, authoritarian regime to enforce it. Freedom, autonomy, and motivation to succeed will vanish. And any attempt to shift a capitalistic superpower, such as America, into a communist or even socialist country would certainly be its downfall. It is not a realistic idea to push, yet it's growing rapidly amongst my generation. I may cover sports video games, but you guys know I'm not afraid to say whatever I believe. I do believe I know what I am talking about here. Think about the average person you interact with on a day-to-day basis. Do you really untrust THEM to control the means of production?? The majority of successful people are actually there because they earned it. What we have now isn't perfect, and could be improved (I think we actually need less regulation, and the Gov should only get involved to breakup monopolies and force competition), but you lack perspective and are privileged as fuck if you think the United States is a bad country and that we need COMMUNISM to save it 😂
