USNC continues to progress towards commercial production of TRISO fuel with this latest fuel licensing achievement. This is good news for us as well since it’s also the fuel that will be used in the MMR we’re proposing to build at the Chalk River Laboratories site in Ontario.

In honour of the International Day of Education, we recommend the IAEA’s Nuclear Explained site, especially the section on SMRs and MMRs – like the one we’re proposing to build. Our MMR will be able to supply up to 15 MW of electricity and run for up to 40 years.
