What if he was distraught because he didn't think his lazy, deliberate tackle to bring down the dribbler would end up breaking someone's leg? The simple action of a tackle hitting a non-active leg is grounds enough for a direct red card.

@FlyByKnite Madibo very clearly targeted the leg that wasn't being used to control the ball. The guy intended to bring down Koné but got surprised that his sloppy tackling technique led to a man's leg being snapped in half 👍
