@ClarkeMicah “The mullahs are very corrupt“ but would allow a thriving middle class, whatever that means under a corrupt mullah.

Among many other things, perhaps. The mullahs are very corrupt. A thriving middle class, prosperous by its own efforts, could bypass that.
Just asking@18tintaweb

@ClarkeMicah @realzoestrimpel Would a thriving middle class mean that people would be less attracted to the IRGC, as they could have decent career prospects?

@ClarkeMicah @Smithey21026 She couldn’t bring herself to accept what was needed, typical coward. What is needed? Over whelming force with indiscriminate elimination of enemy forces, supples, food, shelter. Constant, unrelenting, offensive engagement. A million soldiers if needed

I thought I was very polite under the circs, .@smithey21026. The clip follows an earlier segment ( I refer to this) in which she had a lengthy uninterrupted chance to make her point. About what was she 'spot on'? Where was I 'condescending'?
Emma@Smithey21026

@ClarkeMicah @realzoestrimpel You are a bombastic thug of a man . A rude, ungallant , pompous and condescending fellow. Strimpel was spot on in my eyes, you were way off course and extremely rude. Learn yourself some manners.

Reagan shows why you need a man of high moral character in the White House. NYT, Aug 13, 1982, REAGAN DEMANDS END TO ATTACKS IN A BLUNT TELEPHONE CALL TO BEGIN WASHINGTON, Aug. 12 - President Reagan expressed ''outrage'' to Prime Minister Menachem Begin today over Israel's latest bombing raids in west Beirut, saying the attacks had resulted in ''needless destruction and bloodshed.''.. Larry Speakes, the deputy White House press secretary, said Mr. Reagan had been ''shocked'' by the Israeli attacks ... ''The President expressed his outrage over this latest round of massive military action,'' ... Mr. Speakes, asked whether Mr. Reagan had shouted at the Prime Minister, declined to comment. American officials - including, apparently, Mr. Reagan - were stunned by not only the scale of the Israeli air attacks but also the possibility that Mr. Habib's peace proposals could fall apart because of them. Asked if Mr. Reagan had threatened to suspend American arms aid or take other retaliation, Mr. Speakes replied, ''I won't discuss that.''

I am done with the criminals who have leeched this country to death. Try as he might, it’s impossible even for our President to stop the tsunami of fraud, illegal immigration, and criminality of the Democrat Party. They are too big, too entrenched, and too well funded to defeat.

2/2 .@glornec. Nor do I blame the USA for behaving in this way. It acted according to its interests, as proper nations do. What makes me slightly ill is the pretence that this is some sort of cosy-wosy 'special relationship' built on eternal friendship.
KingJiggly@GlorneC

@ClarkeMicah @BigMing15 Why do you blame the US for all Britain's choices? Over and over again you blame the US for forcing Britain into this or that as if Britain has no agency of its own and no control over its actions. Britain’s choices are Britain’s responsibility not the USA’s.

@ClarkeMicah Was it “powerless”, ‘lack of will’ or ‘paid off‘ when it comes to resisting American pressure. Is it really “powerless“ and American “pressure” that dictated Britain’s choices, or the ghost of these things built up in the mind?

.@glornec. 1/2 I don't. I regret many of the actiions of my countrymnen in this matter, especially entering the 1914 Russo-German war. Thius made us so poor ands weak that thereafter we were often powerless to resist American pressure. .

Thanks Rick ... and well said.
Rick Esenberg@RickEsenberg

I like Tom but he's exactly wrong about this. As @AndrewCMcCarthy points out, you can't play the "Mad Man" game (watch the arrival of the new sheriff in Blazing Saddles) with actual mad men. People who use women and children as human shields are not going to care if you blow them up. And don't make threats that you aren't going to carry out. Trump was never going to do it and the Iranians knew that.

The NFL informed clubs today it will begin training replacement officials next month with the goal of preparing them for team visits starting June 1 if no deal can be reached with the referees union, per a memo obtained by NFL Network. Negotiations will continue between the NFL and NFLRA later this week. The current labor deal expires May 31.

“Magic mushrooms” make psilocybin. Tropical plants make the ingredients of the psychoactive ayahuasca. And toads secrete the mind-altering bufotenin. Now, the tobacco plant makes them all. Thanks to some genetic tinkering, researchers have engineered a close relative of the crop traditionally known for its use in cigarettes to manufacture a wide variety of psychedelics. .@chrisbreadon. As you jmust surely know, I am talking about the uprising Mr Trump called for on 28th February 2026, when he launched his attack. '‘Bombs will be dropping everywhere. When we are finished, take over your government. It will be yours to take. This will be probably your only chance for generations. For many years you have asked for America's help, but you never got it. No President was willing to do what I am willing to do tonight. Now you have a President who is giving you what you want. So let's see how you respond. America is backing you with overwhelming strength and devastating force. Now is the time to seize control of your destiny and to unleash the prosperous and glorious future that is close within your reach. This is the moment for action. Do not let it pass.’

@ClarkeMicah @illuminatithot1 Don’t worry Peter, I’m sure Trump will remember how Britain had his back. Trump reportedly says there may be joint US-Iran venture on Hormuz tolls. Not only will the European leftist pay to rebuild Iran, they will compensate the US for services rendered.

.@takitweets. It was not I who was overwrought, yesterday or at any other time. Who, last night, was in any position to guarantee that this swearing, shouting, threatening individual;, unconstrained by constitution or advice, might do as he said he would?
Taki Theodoracopulos@TakiTweets_

@ClarkeMicah @afneil Peter undoubtedly the war has been one of daftest bits of American foreign policy in my lifetime & that includes Iraq & Libya. So it’s quite a statement being made there. Now can we get an admission on your part you were being overwrought yesterday?

@ClarkeMicah @afneil “initial calls for a rising flopped utterly” why was that? I heard the regime was pretty brutal in their reaction and because of that there were calls to stay away from the streets. Is this true?

Indeed, .@afneil .Reopening the Strait of Hormuz, with tolls in Chinese Yuan, is hardly a victory when it was open and toll-free before Mr Trump’s wild aggression. Those of us who opposed this adventure from the start were right. Note also that initial calls for a rising flopped utterly.
Andrew Neil@afneil

All most every sentence of this is a lie. And if the Strait of Hormuz does open it will be on Iranian terms, something Iran did not enjoy before Trump’s War. So thanks a lot for the Tehran Toll Booth.
