I turned down a 200k job with free flight to Lagos because of this... I cried though but staying with them for a year at that amount per month wasn't going to be worth it. I think I'm spoiled lol Remote jobs spoiled me!

If my mother hadn't supported what she didn't understand, I would've never made a dime from writing. It was 2022 when I told her I could earn online. My parents still thought all things done digitally were illegitimate. But there I was, an inexperienced teenager, telling this woman that I could make money legitimately online. And she believed me. She didn't just take my word for it. She supported me. I could see the occasional hesitance, especially when I didn't know how to withdraw my earnings from Upwork and all I saw was some figure on my dashboard for months. I could see the hesitance when I used Raenest for the first time & the receipt wasn't instant. I saw the hint of doubt in all those times... yet I saw her give me money to buy certain courses. I saw her proofread my pieces and correct my grammar before I sent them. I saw her brainstorm catchy hooks for my LinkedIn posts with me. She had just gotten me a mixer for the baking business I wanted to start the previous year and there she was in 2022, supporting a vastly different venture. My mother didn't know how far I'd go. I'm sure she wasn't even sure I knew what I was doing (I learnt along the way 😭). But my mother supported me regardless. Why? Ah, well, that's just who my mother is. And I don't understate it when I say that if my mother hadn't supported me I couldn't have pulled off a writing career, talk more of getting to the point I am today. I was just a teenager! I couldn't have possibly pulled through myself. But she did support. She supported me in 2022 when I just began and she still supports me in 2026. Just take a look at my beautiful woman dressed in my initiative's merch. I'm forever grateful to God for my mother. I'm forever grateful that I will call my mother and she will answer. Any time. Any day. Iya mi. Ife mi. It is not your birthday but I adore you, my mama. I adore you.

Today, I turn a year older. And every year on this day, I reflect on something far bigger than me. For a long time, I believed luck was something that just happens to you. This scammer, scammed me 22,000 naira, my hard earned money for YouTube automation course where he gave me only PDF file and canva image generation which was not what he promised. @omoalhajaabiola @I_Am_DeOmoluabi please help me spread the awareness

I won't let him scam another person He went as far as blocking me everywhere but before I leave him, social media will hear of deeds through me.
