He is not hors de combat, he is not incapacitated, he is not wounded, he is not surrendering.
A russian soldier taking part in an active assault, in all military gear, drops his rifle as he tries to avoid a drone. He is still an active combatant. This is legally clear.
War cares not for your feelings.
It's brutal, sad and categorically awful.
Don't want to see dead russian? Don't invade a sovereign European country.
My heart does not bleed for an active combatant finding out the consequences of invading Ukraine.
