@swksfarmer @gavin_spoor Arnt we all? Feels like the name of the game with farming
English

@gmengers2014 @gavin_spoor No not at all. Just making shit up as I go.
English

@swksfarmer @gavin_spoor You clearly have never been to South Tx. It was a suggestion of something that works for us. Calm down

@gmengers2014 @gavin_spoor We have a PR nightmare on Gly on wheat and now you wanna create that same for milo?
English

@swksfarmer @gavin_spoor He inquired if ppl have done that. Didn't say he was going to do it

@OAcotton No joke! That's been my complaint for the past few years. Where has my money gone? Advertise better. @CottonInc

@AaronMartinka I'd tell him that you will just keep the bill for the fertilizer in those cobs that you were going to send him and call it a wash.

@BrianWillott I'm in the low pop mafia. We dropped 15k this year down south
English

@gmengers2014 Shoot I’m a couple months late then. Don’t think that would work at nearly 4k feet above sea level
English

@farmerdan97 Personally for my area down south, moisture is ALWAYS our limiting factor. I'd smoke it all now and preserve what you have then decide later if it needs another application.

I have been and will stay a bonafied 2%'er of all Texas A&M sports until they can deliver. How much money is spent and we have little to show for it? #annoyed

@jsonwho73 @JasonHanson2028 Amen. Maybe say it in caps next time so he gets it.
Texas, USA 🇺🇸 English

@JasonHanson2028 If that works for you do it, that's great. But most people don't or can't raise food for themselves so farmers do it for them. I'm just saying quit bitching or get elected and change the laws!

Hold up.
So $10b more going to row crop farmers?
Meanwhile, we’re trying to save to buy drip tape, fencing, a tractor, and our first high tunnel.
But if I had 2500ac of corn, I’d get a cool check for $107,275 and if I had another 2500ac of soybeans, I’d get an additional $74,400?
So those guys that already have the land, and equipment, and grow commodities that don’t directly feed people get checks for $181,675 just for reporting their 2024 acres?
USDA: What are even you doing?
For that one farm payment you’re making, you could fully fund our needs so we didn’t have to ever take on any debt, and still have enough to do the same for least 2-3 other beginning farmers.
And with the age of farmers only getting older, wouldn’t that be a better investment?
Yikes. Bulldozing DC and starting over with the Constitution and a few new Amendments looks more appealing with each passing day. 🤣
And speaking of the day, I hope you all enjoy it. 🇺🇸
Godspeed.
