I'm joining the board of @iGEM! (International Genetically Engineered Machine Competition). Glad to bring an industry lens to the growth of the organization. Thanks to Randy Rettberg for the invitation. I'm excited for our first board meeting after the Jamboree in Paris this week, along with the other board members: @TomKnightSynBio, @DrewEndy, Ariel Lindner, Pam Silver, Richard Johnson, and King Chow. I'm excited to work with Nemanja Stijepovic, Executive VP of iGEM and his amazing team. iGEM is a remarkable platform that brings together the brightest young minds from around the world to tackle some of our planet's most pressing challenges using synthetic biology. I first participated in 2006 as the grad student advisor for the @BrownUniversity team (see photo below). This year is iGEM's 20th anniversary!
