people pointed out the new Gmail icon references the old red Gmail icon. I can see the intention, but intention and execution are different things. good design is a balance between solving a problem and looking confident doing it. this icon tries to do too much in one mark: reference the old red icon, include the Google blue and green. the result is a mutant that doesn't look intentional or confident. more like a collection of bad decisions. a big company like Google should have icons that feel inevitable. this one doesn't. my take on the right: keeping the gradient, keeping the red reference, dropping everything else.

the new Gmail icon. I hate it even more at smaller sizes. two problems: -the left side reads as solid red at small sizes. the connection between the two elements disappears because of low contrast with the pink. -color balance is off. the whole left side is dominated by red. here's my take solving these issues and keeping a better reference to the previous icon.

Honest opinion 👀 Do you guys like the new Antigravity 2.0 or do you still prefer the old IDE experience?

@_mohansolo Also can you make all the scrollbars in the antigravity app have the same width? feels unpolished now.

An update: we’re 3xing the rate limits for Gemini models across all paid tiers in Antigravity and resetting everyone’s Gemini quota for the week. We understand some people hit their rate limits quickly and wanted to respond fast. Lots more to come and enjoy building!

@_mohansolo @IamEmily2050 One improvement: When asking about 'allow running this command', differentiate between e.g. `git log` and `git commit`. I would allow the former but not the latter.

@OfficialLoganK Antigravity 2.0 actually works! Please add some basic features like steering and an autocomplete input box. Hopefully, the next update won't take six months. :)

Gemini 3.5 feels like the start of a new era for Gemini, we spent the last 2.5 years putting the infrastructure, products, team, etc in place (learning lots of lessons along the way). The model is the product, please keep the feedback coming!

Woo its launch day!! Today we shipped Web App Dev Mode and bringing the web stack to Meta Ray Ban Display. The #1 thing I get asked about wearables is “can I build an app for the glasses?”. Now you can and I’m proud to meet developers where they're at, on the web! Excited to see what the community builds. DM are open - let’s talk about web apps!

One more letter of love to Google Gmail (plus extra variant) — logo is so recognisable, it doesn't need rainbow effect (to showcase it's Google) — Red colour should be enough, it's easer to find — second variant is more about "overlapping" in the new icon design language

I have three major issues with Gemini. I hope @GoogleAI is listening: 1. Coding: Antigravity with Gemini 3.1 Pro is weak compared to Codex and even to Opus 4.7, which is also very weak compared to Codex. 2. Gemini AI Studio's missing usage tracking for a given API key. Why introduce many keys if not for tracking the usage per key in order to optimize the pipeline? 3. Recitation error in OCR/information extraction use cases. You submit a cover image of a document and ask to extract the title and the list of authors, and the request is rejected for copyright violation. This is just crazy. Information extraction is THE major use case for vision LLMs. You can do better, @GoogleAI.

@JackWoth98 What about merging the Gemini CLI agent/harness with the Antigravity agent/harness? Seems Gemini CLI is moving much much faster than AG.

A lot of nice QoL updates in Gemini CLI v0.38.1 ✅ 🤖 - Subagents are now on by default! 📊 - In /stats it now categorizes requests (main agent, subagents, utility functions) 🖱️ - Added scroll bar to places like input prompt etc. Plus a ton more, check out the details below 👇
