Forest Dept. successfully tranquilized and rescued a female juvenile leopard entangled in a snare wire today, from private cashew plantation at Piliem, Dharbandora with combined efforts of Ponda & Bondla rescue teams, with minimal response time and released into the wild.

As part of #WildlifeWeek2025, Marine Range (North), Goa Forest Dept. held a session on “Engagement of Fisherman Communities for Marine Wildlife Awareness and Sensitization” for 76 fisherman, in collaboration with Dept. of Fisheries, WTI & ReefWatch.
