🚨ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨 With our new mint, it’s time to change. We want to make our holders the front and center of our project. In this thread, we will detail how. 1 – “Mutants.” and OG collections: We minted in 2021, and many NFTs have been lost or held by people not in the space anymore. We estimate (based on wallets, NFTs sent to exchanges, etc.) that around 4k NFTs are included in that and will never be burned. This led us to 12k “eligible” NFTs, and we achieved almost 9k NFTs burned out of that. This means that we have practically burned 75% of our total supply! Now it is time to speak on the long term. As much as we wanted to keep the utility of the OG collections, to really progress with this project, we can’t do it. After discussions with the team and part of the community, we will no longer be supporting any utility for Mutant Crocs, Toads, or Mice. Any new utilities on the customization side are already impossible with the old NFTs, and the “Mutants.” will generate more tokens while allowing you to keep the art of the old collections in the metadata. Remember that this is a free mint for holders as we are not asking for ADA – only two of our NFTs and tokens. So, on September 15, the only things you will be able to do with the OG NFTs are: - Discord verification - Burn two + 500 $mutant tokens to get a new NFT After that date, we will stop the previous collections' rewards. All old and new utilities will only be provided to the new NFT. 2 – Transparency We have been investing in the project (new website that is coming, new platform, improvements to the website), but we lack transparency to show holders how we are doing it. Starting with the revenue from July (the first post will be at the end of July), a new approach will be introduced to our finances. After covering the monthly costs, the amount of ADA that our dapps make (Mutant Labs + Epoch art) will be shown to the community and split this way: - 40% development team - 60% invested in the dapp and project When we say investments in the project, we will: get $MUTANT token from the community pool, buy NFTs to be raffled with $MUTANT, use NFTs and tokens to give rewards when we introduce loot boxes, push the brand with marketing, etc. There will be a special channel in our discord detailing all the investments we make every month, and another so holders can share their thoughts with the team. Regarding the token, we said on day 1 that $MUTANT would drive our ecosystem. We do not support trading; the token can only be obtainable via NFT staking. But thankfully, the Mutant community has set up a pool that enables us to get the $MUTANT tokens from when we want to reward holders (loot boxes, rewards system, etc.) and use ourselves within the ecosystem every month. We are developing many new things and tools for Cardano and the NFT community in general. And to be part of all this, you can support the project and the platform by becoming a Mutant holder and using them! To further engage our community, we will hold discord calls every month to share news, answer questions, and listen to feedback. Also, we will hold more spaces and participate more in other spaces. 3 – Development Now, time to share what the Mutant team is currently developing for our ecosystem: - Improvements to our ADA raffle (New ways to raffle, new games with the raffle, more incentives to reward both hosts and buyers) - New website (completely new UI/UX, new app, all the information regarding the token and NFT collections in real-time) - Polygon/ETH raffle - Trait shop - A reward system for holders (loot boxes to be claimed by holders) - Mini-games Our development focuses on Cardano, but that doesn't mean we can’t build in other chains to have more products ready for a possible bull cycle. Funds from anything we build outside of Cardano will follow the breakdown posted above, as they are all part of our ecosystem. Epoch Art will also undergo a rework. Using our Mutant brand, it will be a marketplace exclusive to mutants and our customization. We will make a post detailing the trait shop/Mutant marketplace very soon. Recently we partnered with Derp Birds in a way that will benefit both projects, developing products for both projects faster with a bigger team and enhancing what we already have. Each project will have its own ecosystem and products, but that won’t stop us from showing what we can do together. Recently we had our CIP-68 “Mutants.” mint with the minting tool developed by Fortress Labs. The mint was smooth, showing what could be done with the two teams working together. Follow @fortresslabs_ to know more about what is coming! 4- Long-term With all that was said here, we have a solid long-term plan for the project, as we will keep developing stuff and adapting to the market conditions as time goes on. If the market ever goes up again on another bull cycle, we will be prepared with solid dapps, great partnerships, and an excellent plan to make holders part of the project. This approach helps us unify our products, services, and community with ‘Mutants.’ at our project's forefront.
