Any startup hacker houses, accelerators, or events happening in SF that I can crash today? Going to be IRL live streaming on Twitch, running around SF trying to meet founders building the next unicorn.

Our robots are already inside @Lenskart_com 's production line. 27 million glasses a year. 4x Warby Parker's market cap. CEO @peyushbansal is a Shark Tank India judge. The founding team swung by our SF lab. The biggest manufacturers in the world are moving to AI-native robotics. We're building it.

Totally agree. I have talked to so many robotics start ups that want to jump straight to 5-finger hands for data collection, ignoring hardware reliability, scalability and other bottlenecks. Simple grippers are way more practical for collecting consistent, large-scale data. Meanwhile, larger companies are more practical, stay grounded and optimize for what actually works.
Dominique Paul@DominiqueCAPaul

This data collection gripper from Generalist looks way more practical than the original UMI. Was already a fan of their on-robot grippers, but hadn't seen this setup before.

VC cheat code: - don’t be an asshole - don’t waste founder time - don’t sleep with founders - don’t make empty promises - don’t pull term sheets What did I miss?

here’s how to actually come to SF: → Book a room in a hostel This is the cheapest way to sleep when you first arrive. It allows you to stay somewhere for cheap and to meet a ton of cool people and founders → Download Luma and Partiful That’s where most public events are. You just open the app, see which events are happening and sign-up for them → Avoid the Tenderloin This is the worst neighborhood in town. It's not necessarily dangerous but there are a ton of crackheads and dirt on the ground. Just avoid it → Talk to everyone SF is probably the most social place on earth. Here, most people came just like you to make new connections and change their lives. Most people will be happy to talk to you → Go visit the city Even though most people come for the tech, SF is actually an incredibly beautiful city. Visit China Town, North Beach, the Marina, see the Golden Gate Bridge, the Golden Gate Park and much more
dante@dantefofante

Is San Fransisco as big a shithole as it’s made out to be or is that just psyop? Looks beautiful to me.
