The creator of H-index (JE Hirsch) also regards H-index as his unruly child. He remarked, [it] can fail spectacularly and has severe -ve consequences. I still believe the title should be "The emperor has no clothes: why H-index and citation suck!"

A Physics gang of 1930s:
The Via Panisperna Boys were a group of young physicists led by E. Fermi in the 30s Rome (named after the street where their lab was located). They pioneered groundbreaking works in neutron physics, including the discovery of slow neutrons, which became crucial for nuclear reactors and later the Manhattan Project.

Photocatalytic (PC) overall water splitting is common, but have you heard about PC brine splitting where Cl- oxidation to Cl2 or HOCl occurs instead of OER? Check out my review article on ChemRxiv. PC and PEC brine splitting to produce Cl2 or HOCl...

Photocatalytic H2O2 Synthesis Over Au9 Clusters and Au101 Nanoparticles: Does A Smaller Co-catalyst Always Perform Better? dx.doi.org/10.26434/chemr…

New pre-print out.
We show that better charge generation and transfer can't warrant high catalytic activity. For sensitive reactions like H2O2 synthesis, the rate constants govern the kinetics stronger than charge transfer properties.

Ever wonder how your GPS always knows exactly how to help you on your way? Quantum mechanics helps make it possible!
Quantum science describes the oscillations of electrons in atoms, which can be used to keep the time inside a clock. These tiny timekeepers ride on satellites, which broadcast their readings to devices on Earth. Tracking the satellites’ time and position, the devices can pinpoint their location all over the globe with extreme precision, keeping you on track for your daily commute or your next adventure!🌟
