This entire movie was Mike and Bryan's attempt at getting back at ATLA fans for shitting on Korra. Notice that every single critique they had of Korra is present in this movie? The AS spamming, him getting played because he didnt listen(unalaq), got washed in the avatar state multiple times, almost destroyed the Avatar cycle. Has to constantly be saved. It's like they looked up every Reddit Korra slander and turned it into a movie, but with Aang. This movie is made out of pure spite.

@goldlink93 @Slybillz_ Aang hadn't fully mastered the elements but was adept at using them and put up a decent fight against Ozai before using the Avatar State. He could have ended the fight early by redirecting lightning that was fired at him, but he chose not to.

The Avatar State in the OG show gave the Avatar the ability to generate hurricanes, create tsunami waves, force volcanoes to erupt and more. It is very clear that the AS terrified Aang for a majority of the show before book 3. It was legitimately a terrifying thing to witness for anyone. When Roku used it against Sozin, he blew apart an entire wing of his palace. Sozin was an incredibly powerful firebender and was certainly no pushover. Whenever the AS was used, it was always decisive. There was no question of whether or not using it would end the conflict, it was just that overwhelmingly powerful. The only time we see it "fail" is when Azula takes a cheap shot, but had she not done so, that entire room of Azula, Zuko and the entirety of the Dai Li would have been cooked. No single bender had the ability to fight the avatar in the AS and even that entire room of benders would not have been able to beat it either. That is how ridiculously strong the AS was. Imo, seeing it spammed in this clip makes it feel worthless. There's basically no difference whether he uses it or not and it's simply used to make the bad guy seem that much stronger.

@naMnaSYt I tried rewatching too. Since I stopped after season 1. Then came back after she was in the wheelchair? Tried rewatching and couldn't get past the love triangle with mako and bolin. I knew the other love triangle was coming too.

its honestly really funny seeing people genuinely think Im hate watching I havent seen TLOK since it aired and Im going into it genuinely wanting to like it, but there just isnt really enough good things to talk about like with ATLA There's just so many noticeable problems

Sozin didn't put up a fight against Roku, he was bodied immediately. Ozai, as soon as Aang used the Avatar State, was on the defensive for the rest of the fight and could not push Aang back an inch. Aang DISMANTLED the attacks used against him, literally negating Ozai's attacks using a combination of elements. It was a complete blow out for both of them and both of them were masters.
