People were playing because they could arrange a time in advance and see they wouldn’t have to sit and wait behind dozens of aged 60+ 4 balls for over an hour. Squeezing the young out of the game. Adapt or die.

@secretclubprov We had the booking system through lockdown and the course was jammed and very slow,We got rid of it after lockdown and the course back to normal,I’m a member at Worksop golf club for nearly 40 years and the only problem we had was with the booking system,

Having a tee booking system is categorically 99.9% better in todays world for 99.9% of people get over it,stop trying to fight it,and move forward !!!! 🤬

@secretclubprov Hybrid seems to work best. Booking for the peak times to regulate play and free tees for the rest of the week.

@secretclubprov Our course... No tee time bookings at all... only for certain comps like Shotgun starts for obvious reasons.. otherwise its turn up and play.. yes you have your 1st light guys, the 7am, 8am groups etc but at least you're not on the phone 7 days prior hoping to play..

@Chinese_Lensman @secretclubprov And of course, the ultimate way to see how busy the course is on any given day is to have a booking system where you can see who’s playing and when. I’d never join a club with a roll up system and I’d leave if my club introduced one.
