I’ve never spoken about it openly, but it affects me to this day. I had to take a year out of college and repeat another because of the intense PTSD, and still have bad days.

I was raped in 2021.
He saw me as a woman he could take advantage of - so he did.
My “male socialisation” didn’t protect me. My XY chromosomes didn’t protect me. He saw me and treated me like he would any woman.
It is rapists that are the threat to women - not my identity.
