@googlefi what on *earth* is going on with @Google Messages for Fi users? for years now it stops syncing between mobile and desktop and i have to sign out and re-sync once a month or so, but over the past couple weeks not even re-syncing helps. embarrassingly bad reliability.

If you are stuck using @googlefi for your phone service, do NOT upgrade to RCS or any other change Google offers you. They don't work, at all, on any phone that I have seen. The only thing @Google's new upgrade does is break all your messaging apps and cut off all comms.
