Translation : Faye & Atom: Sawasdee ka. Reporter: This is your first open episode. Faye: Yes, it’s the very first episode, and I’m really excited. Reporter: Can you tell us the title of the series? Faye: Broken of Love. This is considered my first project where I’m also acting... Reporter: You’re both the producer and the actress? Faye: Yes. Reporter: How would you describe the journey of this series? Faye: It’s a drama, romantic drama, but quite intense. There are many characters, and gathering the cast was very difficult. It took a lot of effort to bring everything together. Reporter: Was it especially difficult to cast each role? Especially the person next to you? Faye: Yes, getting her was the hardest. Reporter: Did it take a long time to "win her over"? Faye: I reached out. I know that many places were interested in her. At one point, I almost gave up and thought she wouldn’t join. But I’m very thankful that she was interested in working with a small studio like mine. Reporter: Why did you decide to produce the series yourself? Faye: At first, I didn’t plan to produce a series at all. I started Fabel just to take on projects. But because of the love from the fans, I thought... why not? So I ended up producing everything myself, funding everything myself. Seeing so many fans here today makes me really happy. It’s worth the wait; this is a gift for them. Everything happened so quickly. I never thought I had to become a producer. But it all happened because of the fans. Reporter: When you were convincing her to join, how did you approach it? Atom: I was invited to audition. The company contacted me to try casting. I really wanted to play this character, and that’s how I ended up here. Reporter: So you liked the role, not just the series owner? Atom: I like both. I like everything. Reporter: What can we expect from Episode 1? Many people are excited because the trailer was very sweet. Faye: People say the trailer feels bittersweet, "bitter but you can’t spit it out." If you want to know how it really is… Reporter: What will fans get to see? Faye: Everything fans want to see, they’ll get to see it. Reporter: How do you know what they want? Faye: I did my research. This project exists because of the fans, so I studied what they want and adapted it into the script and characters. Reporter: Will we get romantic moments from Episode 1? Atom: Definitely. Reporter: You seem a bit shy, Atom. Atom: I’m not shy. I just really want everyone to watch Episode 1. I think people will like it. Reporter: What is your role like in this series? Atom: I had the opportunity to fully act as Lalin Lyla. I really like this character; she’s quite similar to me. I want everyone to watch and get to know her. Reporter: How is it working together? Atom: It’s really fun working with P’Faye. She’s very kind, and the whole team is lovely. Reporter: Do you know that Faye likes to spoil things? (Atom turns to Faye and tells her not to spoil anything.) Faye: No, they mean I like to spoil you. Atom: Yes, she really spoils me. It’s cute. Faye: I like taking care of people. Reporter: As a producer, did you add anything to the script? Faye: Yes, I did make some adjustments. (laughs) Reporter: What kind of scenes did you add? Were you shy about anything? Faye: Honestly, this is all new for her. There are some semi-love scenes, not full love scenes, but still quite intimate. There was some hesitation, some consideration about how far we could go. Since it’s her first project, we needed some time to adjust. Reporter: Were you able to keep up with Faye? Atom: Even if I couldn’t, I had to. (laughs) Reporter: How did you manage? Atom: I had nothing to fight with! (laughs) Reporter: Did you start catching up later? Atom: Yes. I feel comfortable acting with her. Everything flows naturally. Faye: She’s brave enough to receive everything I give. I think she did really well. Reporter: Strong. Faye: Not afraid, she’s strong. Reporter: Is this a slap-and-kiss type of drama? Faye: No, not that kind. Reporter: Just kissing then? Faye: How should I say this… At first, the characters don’t know each other, so everything flows smoothly. But then it turns out, she’s the daughter of my emotional enemy. Reporter: You’re about to spoil the whole story! Reporter: There are 8 episodes, right? Faye: Yes, 8 episodes. Reporter: Is the storyline intense? Faye: It’s fast-paced, concise, and easy to follow from Episode 1. Episode 1 has everything. Can you predict it? Well… every episode has its own mystery. Reporter: What about your character? Atom: Oh, I can’t say; it would be a spoiler. Faye: See? The reporter is trying to trick you into revealing it. Atom: I’m afraid of spoiling it. Please wait and watch. Reporter: Was the role difficult for you? Atom: Yes, quite difficult. There are many emotional layers, and I had to express them clearly. I’m also new, so I need a lot of practice. Reporter: Which scene was the hardest? Atom: The drama scenes were the hardest for me. Faye: See? She’s not afraid of love scenes. For me, the hardest part is the love scenes. Reporter: What are the love scenes like? Faye: There’s a lot of meaning behind them. My character is constantly drawn to her, but since she’s the daughter of my enemy, there’s internal conflict. Can I fully love her? Should I hold back? There’s a lot going on emotionally. Reporter: Didn’t you think about getting revenge? Faye: No, I didn’t. I truly love her. But because of my duty, my upbringing, and past experiences, I have to hold myself back. Reporter: So it’s heartbreak from Episode 1 to 8? Faye: The heartbreak starts from Episode 1. Reporter: Is there an OST? Faye: Yes. You’ll hear it today. I sing the opening song, and she will sing in later episodes. Reporter: Please promote your work. Faye: You can watch it on Fabel’s YouTube on the 28th. There’s also a live viewing on the 27th. If you can’t attend, you can still purchase a live streaming ticket. Link: youtube.com/watch?v=H0HqJQ… BEFORE IT BREAKS #BrokenOfLovePremiere

@Caitlin04112021 I understood but you said you would be 'at breakfast' so I thought it was at a hotel or venue somewhere where you were with a group of people. Not sure who you'd tag though! 😄 Maybe include venue and date? I hope it will find its owner! 🤞🤞🤞

@juth Even if it takes a little longer to translate, it's much appreciated. I've learned a lot through your translations. Your explanations about Thai culture and habits helped me prepare for my trip to Thailand last November. With this knowledge I enjoyed it even more. Thank you! 🙏

If we’re talking about difficulty, it actually comes in many layers, haha. Sometimes the challenge isn’t just the language itself, but the need to understand culture, behavior, and mindset first in order to fully grasp the context. Without that, translation can easily lead to misunderstandings, especially since Fayemily audiences come from different locations, cultures, and traditions. When people view things from different perspectives, drama can happen. Humor is even harder. Making sure that people from different backgrounds can laugh together. That’s a real challenge. Then there’s the linguistic side. Some words simply don’t have direct equivalents in English, so I have to find the closest possible meaning. For interviews, the difficulty lies in precision. They’re more serious, so I need to convey everything accurately and completely. Press conferences are even more difficult because of the amount of detail involved. If I translate a live press conference in real time, I usually add a remark that it may not be fully complete, just enough for a quick understanding, and then I’ll come back later with a more detailed version. There’s also the challenge of slang and youth language. Sometimes I even need to check with Thai fans before translating. Nowadays, there are also regional variations like Northern Thai and Isan Thai, which I need to study before I can translate properly. And finally, one of the biggest challenges is audio clarity. If the sound in a video isn’t clear, it makes everything harder. All of these factors affect how long translation takes. Sometimes a clip is long but easy, so it can be translated quickly. Other times, a clip is short but complex in content, making it more difficult. The difficulty of translation affects how tiring it is. From my experience, I’ve learned a lot along the way, and I keep improving.

Pure chaos! 😂 It is SO good to see Faye happy & having fun!!! 🥰 Juth, which was more tiring to translate: a composed interview or this live?! 😊 #FayePeraya #ฝ้ายพีรญา

Earlier I was driving, so I might not have explained it clearly, my apologies. There’s actually something quite interesting about the character’s name. In Thai, the consonants ร (r) and ล (l) can sound very similar. The difference is that ร requires a rolled tongue, similar to the Spanish "r" .... like in "rico" or "amor." On the other hand, ล is pronounced like the English "l," without rolling the tongue. However, many modern Thai speakers don’t roll their tongue when pronouncing ร, so it often ends up sounding like ล. For example, the word "รัก" (rak – love) is often heard as "lak." That’s why professional announcers, actors, and hosts are actually trained to pronounce ร properly with a clear tongue roll. Now, when I listened to the interview, I heard the name as "Alisa." I sincerely apologize. "Alisa (อลิสา)" is a very common spelling in Thai, so that’s what I initially wrote. But then many people mentioned that on Faye’s robe, it’s written as "Arisa." And that’s where it gets interesting... "Arisa (อริสา)", written with ร (r), carries the meaning of "one who is superior to all enemies" or "the one who conquers her enemies." That’s amazing 👍🏼 #BrokenofLoveTheSeries
