I tried Higgsfield a few days ago and wanted to build a workflow for social media where I could enter just the post copy, and it would create an image based on previously designed posts, with the ability to choose the correct app product images if needed. The result wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great either. I’ll have to test it more.

Say want you want about Higgsfield, but I don't know a single tech company that ships more. I don't even know how it's possible.

That is so true. The real paradox of this new era isn’t just that the work feels different, it's what it does to our focus. When that technical wall is completely destroyed, your brain goes into overdrive. Now that every single stupid idea I have can be built in an afternoon, I feel like I have even less time because the floodgates are wide open.

Spoke with many friends recently, designers and engineers, all people who've been doing it for 20 years or more and had a lot of success doing it. And they all say the same thing. The AI stuff is genuinely useful right now. It's fast and things that used to take a week take an afternoon. Things you never even attempted because there was no time, now you can just do them. It's the biggest enabler ever. But in the same breath, every single one also says that it's the least fun they've ever had in their entire career. They also mention it makes no sense to do it the old way. They're all in. It's a strange paradox which I feel myself. Everything is possible now and I've never cared less about any of it. Both things true at once. Not sure if thats just the feeling of the current moment, or if I just talked to people who're tired of the computer (since all of them been doing it for a long time).

Spent the whole weekend playing PoE2. It is now Tuesday. I am still tired. My character is strong, but my back is weak. I am officially too old for this shit 🎮💔

@darylginn Had similar start, played Lineage 2, loved it, joined a guild, created a blog, learned that there is some code behind it, re-coded some parts of the blog, didnt liked the design so started designing websites

I liked art. I liked skateboarding. I liked playing PS2. I bought tony hawks pro skater underground. I joined an online clan. I joined the clan's online forum. I liked the signatures on the forum. I wanted to make my own signature. This is how I became a designer.

I don't understand vertical tabs. Why would I want less space for the website content I actually want to look at?

@onuro You need to try Agentation, it'll remove the need to copy/paste screenshots and lets you send multiple bits of feedback in one go. Makes it so much quicker to iterate. agentation.com

I just love how easy is to create something you are missing. Built a Figma plugin with Claude Code that pulls live crypto & stock charts and drops them in as editable shapes. It even detects variables named as "Chart XX" and maps your color theme automatically.
