Elderly Okinawans shaking the gates of a US military base. Chanting. Resisting. Telling the empire to get off their land. For decades, they have been out there. Rain or shine. Ignored by Tokyo. Mocked by critics. But never silent.
The US built bases on Okinawa without consent. The Japanese government keeps expanding them. The people keep saying no. Fence shaking. Sign holding. Refusing to leave. They are not zombies. They are the conscience of a nation that sold its sovereignty to Washington.
Tokyo bows. Okinawa resists. While the Prime Minister hides from accountability, these elders are in the streets. While the government sends money to foreign wars, Okinawans are fighting for peace on their own land.
This is resistance. This is real. And the world should see it. Not as a joke. As a reminder that the empire is never welcome everywhere. And the people never stop fighting.
