looks like alan is wearing pants that leave a very slight break. if i were to guess, a quarter break specifically 🤔 it’s a very modern style of pants wear for men. i wonder if this was subconsciously or a conscious decision to modernize his look

i’m cornplatting ik but he’s usually depicted with longer pant breaks. in his 2023 miniseries it appears to be a medium to full length break.

wait it’s SOOO cool how alan’s ring is depicted bending the will of the metal. but the wooden handles drop since he cannot physically bend wood the same way

—in a time where he’s already shaky about it, how will he handle it? I imagine this is where Alan steps in, to likely reason with Bruce’s doubts and provide an entirely new perspective, from the standpoint of immortals.

this is especially true for Alan and Vandal’s relationship too. Alan knows that Vandal is not interesting in redeeming himself, focused solely on his own ascent into power/godhood. Now that Batman is once again faced with a villain that is antithetical to his own morale belief—

interesting choice of dialogue to be focused around alan. we often see alan’s pragmatic approach to redemption. his belief that anyone can be redeemed, as long as the work that needs to be done is done. but what do you do when someone refuses to save themselves? or can’t?
