If I was on survivor my strategy would simply be to find the prettiest girl and do whatever she told me and never go against her

@TommyNolan511 Aubry worked with them too tho! The difference is it didn’t make sense for Jonathan & he lost ppl he needed along the way (Coach,Chrissy,Steph) whereas Aubry set herself up to make ftc with ppl she could actually beat & saved herself last second when she needed to

@gotnothingforya Tiff was winning challenges despite everyone actively working together to get her out. Aubry’s game felt like luck and not wanting to ruffle any feathers, while Jonathan was out here working with people like Cirie and Tiff on votes. Which to me, is more impressive.

I’ve spent way too much time on here defending Aubry against people who think Jonathan played a better game than her. (He didn’t. She played the best of the f3.) But despite that I would not defend her against anyone that calls her win a lower tier winning game (it is)

@Drewtg_ And do we even know for sure he would’ve won over Rizo? I feel like it would’ve at least been close lmao

@gotnothingforya Exactly. I do think her post-merge game was actually more savvy than people are giving her credit for. Jonathan positioned himself pretty poorly and only had a limited f3 where he would prob win (Rizo and Joe)

@jethromcbean123 I agree with this analysis. I might even argue Erika had a tiny bit more agency than Aubry in the endgame in that we saw her put together the Ricard/heather/Xander alliance and she made sure the jury knew it was her decision to vote out well liked Danny out over Deshawn.

@gotnothingforya She more or less played the same game as Erika from S41- survive early scrutiny and let everyone else kill each other, and sit next to people who lack respect (Xander/Joe) or who had more agency but burnt the jury (Deshawn/Jonathan) It’s meat and potatoes new era gameplay

@Drewtg_ I also kinda hate people acting like it was JUST social game/jury management. He positioned himself badly post merge & put himself in an endgame where he probs couldnt win! She positioned herself well, saved herself when she had to and got there with the ppl she could beat!

@gotnothingforya Like her game wasn’t amazing by any means, but it was far better than Jonathan. She did what she had to do! Nothing special and super lucky, but still the most deserving and savvy game of the f3. Lower tier agreed, but happy for her!

@jduet9 @rkktweets Aubry played a lowkey snake game. She was seen as a threat by the end game (by Jonathan himself) & saved herself with immunity and put him in fire to take out her other biggest threat. She positioned herself better than him and played the endgame perfectly.

@jduet9 @rkktweets J ended up being mostly a number for Cirie for too long post merge & lost his truest allies/people he could beat (outside of Joe). By the time he went with Rizo/Aubry to take her out it was too late and he was in an endgame position where he couldn’t win. That’s bad gameplay

@jduet9 @rkktweets Jonathan’s game sucked and he was mostly just a # for other people that were controling the game. He made the endgame because people wanted to sit next to him so they could win. Aubry played better and the actual strategists in the jury that respect the game voted for her.

@rkktweets JuRy MaNaGeMeNt Lmao surrre. You switch Aubry's game with Jonathan's, they still vote Aubry. That's why this is broken.

@StarBase48 I felt this was one of the more memorable pre merge votes tbh. A 3-2-1 against the guy who lead the previous vote. Him trying to manipulate Christian by bringing up Gabby & then getting betrayed by him. The drama from exit interviews about how they aren’t friends anymore etc

Yours Truly, Joey 💙
We seriously need to give Maryanne more flowers, easily one of the best FTC moments in the show's history. A masterclass of knowing to not only analyze your position in the game, but everyone else's and what their best moves are so you can further accentuate your own

@jessegbo He lost most of his true alliance members (Chrissy, Coach, Steph) due to his sloppy gameplay. Then was in an endgame with ppl he’d lose to that were using him as a #. Aubry sneaking to the end playing the middle and setting herself up with the perfect goats is more impressive.

@gotnothingforya Its editted TV and she was clearly given the winners edut. So maybe her name came up but none, I mean zero of the final 3 were "threats". Almost anyone on the jury could have sat next to her and won just the same. Jonathan didnt "work" because he had alliances, she didn't.

We saw people talk about trying to get Aubry out multiple times all season long and we never saw people plotting to get Jonathan. Because he wasn’t a threat. He didn’t need to “work” to get there because almost everyone would’ve sat next to him and won.
Eric Nathan@BarstoolNate

Aubry won by being there at the end. Which to her credit isn't easy to do, but still, Jonathan worked to be there in the end. I don't even think it was close. Aubry got a lifetime achievement award. Is what it is. Happens on Survivor.
