@govstripper Yeah that's a pretty sticky situation bro. Maybe seek advice from a lawyer I'm sure there's local free aid lawyers that will give advice on how to proceed. Or maybe a non profit org that can help with home repair funding?

@dahtsick Well the claim that we’re gonna do works to pay like a little under half but they over charged and I got 3 broken windows now so it’s like do I go to court or just get fucked with the money they added on top

@govstripper Have you tried filing small claims if it's under a certain amount you can I'm not sure in Florida what the amount is.

@dahtsick the problem is the end of the month is the end period for when I can submit the claim for the insurance to help pay for part of it and it don’t seem like there wanting to comply, so taking them to court with end up going over the time so I still have to pay it.

Start compiling all your evidence dates, quotes receipts before and after photos what ever you can. Write down everything that happened from the time the hurricane hit until now. Dispute the pricing with the contractor. If they don't budge send a dispute letter to them stating what the agreement was.
