No, this is not another Netflix adaptation of a Viking saga. This is Norway's national team unveiling its official World Cup photo. Every player dressed as a Viking, posing in a setting that looks straight out of the Norse age. Photographer David Yarrow said the players loved the concept from the start. A beach near Oslo was rented and transformed into a full Viking scene for the shoot.

Viking originally means to go seafaring/ raiding.
The Norse countries were called Vikings because they went on «viking». This is a Norse word and hence the Norse countries was called Vikings. Norse as in Norwegians, Danes and Swedes
