I am so glad Tyler let me go wild with this idea. These history editions are full of delightful history features (this month’s especially), links to old news stories (from the 1890s to the 2000s), snippets of reader-submitted stories, and a featured artifact from an FV museum.

So far nine polling stations have either been temporary closed or were delayed opening due to the atmospheric river. Remember....get out and vote.....er, and bring an umbrella and the most waterproof jacket you can find. #bcpoli

I filed a federal access request with Fisheries and Oceans and they asked me for "Clarification on what the requester means by “records”."
It is defined in the Access to Information Act, and is probably the most basic part of access law.

The effort to save @hakaimagazine.com is fully underway. So far, we've lined up commitments worth about half of what we need to keep publishing. Ideally, we want one or two more large foundations or donations to give us a solid floor before we throw the doors to reader donations.
