No, there was no sudden "party switch" where Democrats and Republicans swapped ideologies or memberships wholesale. Historical record shows gradual voter realignment after 1964 Civil Rights Act (House: 80% GOP yes vs 61% Dem; Senate: 82% GOP vs 69% Dem). Southern Dem opposition was strong; LBJ noted losing the South. Nixon's 1968 "law and order" and states' rights appeals (Southern Strategy) drew conservative Southern whites to GOP over decades. Only 1 of 21 anti-CRA Southern Dem senators switched parties. Black voters had already shifted to Dems by '64. Coalitions sorted ideologically by region and issues—not a flip.

"I’ll be honest, I’m shocked this "Democrats founded the KKK" line really is being said in 2026. Like grown adults really say this with the intent of, "Ahh, I gotcha!" I mean, continue telling the rest then. That’s like blaming me for something happening in a house I moved out of 20 years ago. Yeah, history matters, but so does what happened after. To stop with the rest is dishonest, and makes me wonder if you do it on purpose, or you really don't know. When Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965 passed, after that, no Democratic presidential candidate has won a majority of white voters nationwide since. The Truth Never expires, no matter how much sauce you put on the rice.

@TheLaurenChen Why do people constantly try to attach some philosophical reason for declining birth rates? It’s a natural part of a progressing economy. 150 years ago people had packs of children because they were your workforce. But today there is no economic need to have children

Boomers don't want to hear this, but one of the (many) reasons why my generation isn't having as many kids? A lot of millennials feel they can't depend on their parents for help the way they saw their own grandparents pitch in when they were growing up

The last time ANY president, Republican or Democrat, actually left us with less debt than the day they came into office was Calvin Coolidge in the 1920's It has been A CENTURY and every president has sold us out, including republicans This is why everything is so expensive

@RedDawnUkraine @hissgoescobra The only clear advantage the E7 has is IFR which could be solved by developing it on gulf stream which already makes variants for the US govt that can IFR.

@RedDawnUkraine @hissgoescobra Globaleye has 12 hour mission endurance without IFR its it flight range is actually longer Doesn’t need a crew to operate its Erieye ER Onboard sensor range is virtually the same 550km vs 600 Is based on a common bizjet so parts aren’t an issue either Flys higher & faster

To be clear, the notion that the AWACS mission can be performed by satellites is a bad one. Once space is weaponized, it’ll come back to bite us. We should fund the E-7s fully and not just a couple prototypes. airandspaceforces.com/future-usaf-ne…

@realtrumpstein If you’re over 6’8” you have to get a waiver. Robinson was 6’7” when he arrived in Annapolis. He didn’t put his NBA career on hold the Navy didn’t let him out of his commitment.

The White House says Barron Trump is “too tall” at 6'9" for military service. David Robinson was 7'1" and put his NBA career on hold to serve in the Navy. Height clearly wasn’t an excuse then and it isn’t now.

@EmansReviews @NickCannon One of Chuck Schumer’s 1st campaigns was getting blacks out of Flatbush & this was in the late 70s. But ok they flipped after the civil rights movement.

According to an estimate by Texas A&M, dairy farms that employ immigrant workers produce 79% of the nation’s milk supply – and the price of milk would double without them. nytimes.com/2026/03/27/us/…

@FrankLuntz Maybe if we stopped conflating illegal & legal immigration we’d actually make real progress on the issue. But since both sides seem to be more about winning than actually governing I don’t have high hopes.

@gracemonkey1971 @cturnbull1968 It is though because Fox news is constantly bitching about Democrats and government waste and then when they tell you about a job that isn't shit it turns out that it's a tax payer funded government job. Unions are socialist.

@Handicappadonna @cturnbull1968 Again that’s not relevant to the OP. It’s not about government subsidies it’s about the existence of high paying trade jobs at data centers

@Handicappadonna @cturnbull1968 Not like non-union trades don’t make bank. And again the OP is claiming that these jobs are rare. Just making the same argument over & over doesn’t make it relevant to the point.

@gracemonkey1971 @cturnbull1968 So an electrician working on Harry Homeowners house on Sunday isn't getting union wages at double time pay?....only the electricians working on tax payer funded government projects?

@IsaacHayes3 Chuck Schumer’s 1st campaign was on getting blacks out of Flatbush. The head of recruitment for the Kentucky KKK died as a Democrat in office this century. I think the news of a Democrat switch is greatly exaggerated

What Nick Cannon said is exactly how misinformation spreads. Yes, the KKK was tied to Southern Democrats in the 1800s. That part is true. But leaving out what happened next changes the entire meaning. In the 1960s, after Lyndon B. Johnson passed the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965, the racists who supported segregation did not just disappear… They left the Democratic Party and shifted politically. That is a huge part of the story that keeps getting left out. AND THAT MATTERS. Because when we, especially Black voices with big platforms, repeat half stories, it does not just stay a conversation. It spreads and it can be used against us. We cannot afford to be loud and wrong at the same time, especially right now.

@Handicappadonna @cturnbull1968 They have state subsidies. As long as I can remember state money requires prevailing rate. And again why they’re making so much isn’t the point of the OP.
